I've been through the Ladbrokes sign up offer terms, and it's how the £30 is split that really caught my eye. Your first bet needs to be £5 or more at odds of 1/2 (1.5) or bigger, and you'll get 6 x £5 free bets back whether it wins or loses.

Four can go on any sport, one goes on a football Bet Builder and the last one goes on a horse racing Bet Builder. Here's how to claim it, the bets that won't count and full terms and conditions.

The Ladbrokes new customer offer is open to new customers in the UK and the Republic of Ireland. If you're in Ireland, the offer works the same way in euros, and so you'll bet €5 to get 6 x €5 free bets.

Claiming the Ladbrokes sign up offer takes six steps, and the two that decide whether you get the free bets are how you deposit and what your first bet is. Below, you'll find our step-by-step guide on how to claim the Ladbrokes sign up offer.

What Counts as a Qualifying Bet?

Your qualifying bet is the first bet you place on your Ladbrokes account, and it has to meet every one of the conditions below for the free bets to land.

Bets That Qualify

A bet counts as your qualifying bet if it's your first bet on Ladbrokes, it's placed within 14 days of signing up, and it ticks off the following:

• A stake of £5 or more

• Odds of 1/2 (1.5) or bigger

• Placed on a sports market

• In an accumulator, every selection at 1/2 (1.5) or bigger

• In an each-way bet, a win part of £5 or more

For example, a £5 bet on Liverpool to Win at 6/4 (2.5) would count, and it would return £12.50 if they win.

However, a £5 acca with Man City to Win at 1/4 (1.25) as one of the legs wouldn't count, even if the other legs take the total odds well past 1/2 (1.5).

Bets That Won't Trigger the Offer

Only your first bet can qualify, and so if your first bet is one of the following, you'll miss out on the free bets.

• A bet on a specials market

• A Tote or Pools bet

• A bet placed with a price boost

• A bet you cash out

• The place part of an each-way bet

• An acca with any leg shorter than 1/2 (1.5)

• A bet with a stake under £5

• Any bet after your first one

Your deposit can also cost you the offer, as a first deposit with PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafe, a prepaid card or one of the excluded debit cards won't qualify, even if your bet does.

How to Use Your 6 x £5 Ladbrokes Free Bets

The £30 in Ladbrokes free bets is split into six £5 free bets, and two of them can only be used on Bet Builders. Each free bet has to be used in full, and so you can't split a £5 free bet into two £2.50 bets.

4 x £5 Sports Free Bets

The four sports free bets can go on any sports market, apart from eSoccer, greyhounds, virtual sports, Tote and Pools.

Each one has to go on a different market, which means you can't put two of them on Liverpool to Win in the same match.

That still leaves plenty of room to spread them across a weekend, such as one on a Saturday 3pm kick-off and another on one of Sunday's Premier League games.

£5 Football Bet Builder Free Bet

All three selections need to land for the Bet Builder to pay out, and as with every Ladbrokes free bet, the £5 stake won't be included in your returns.

£5 Horse Racing Bet Builder Free Bet

The sixth free bet can only go on a horse racing Bet Builder, which Ladbrokes launched in January 2026 for every UK and Irish race. It lets you combine the winner, finishing positions and the winning distance from the same race into one bet.

If you only bet on football, this is the one free bet you can't use on a football match, but you can use our racing ratings to help find a horse to use it on.

Where You Can't Use Your Ladbrokes Free Bets

There are a few restrictions that apply to all six free bets, and these are the ones that could catch you out. The 7-day expiry is the one most likely to catch you out, as the clock starts as soon as the free bets are credited to your account.

• eSoccer, greyhounds, virtual sports, Tote and Pools are excluded

• Each free bet has to go on a separate market

• They expire 7 days after being credited and won't be reissued

• They can't be cashed out or swapped for cash

• The £5 stake isn't returned, even if the bet is made void

What's the Ladbrokes Offer Really Worth?

The Ladbrokes offer is advertised as £30 in free bets, but as the £5 stake isn't returned on any of them, what you'll get back from a winning free bet is the winnings only.

A £5 free bet on Leeds to beat Man Utd at 2/1 (3.0) would return £10 if Leeds win, which is £5 less than the £15 a £5 cash bet would return.

Below, you'll find what a £5 free bet returns at different odds, compared with a £5 cash bet.

The longer the odds, the smaller the share of your returns the missing £5 stake takes up, although a bet at longer odds is less likely to win.

If all six free bets won at evens, you'd get £30 back, whereas the same six bets with £30 of your own cash would return £60.

Your £5 qualifying bet is a cash bet, and so if it wins at 1/2 (1.5), you'll get £7.50 back on top of the free bets.

Ladbrokes Sign Up Offer vs Other Bookmakers

Below, you’ll find how the Ladbrokes sign up offer compares with the Coral, William Hill and Paddy Power sign up offers.

William Hill also have minimum odds of 1/2 (1.5), but you’ll need to bet £10 to get £30 in free bets, which is double the £5 Ladbrokes ask for. 

In return, the £30 comes as 3 x £10 free bets that can go on any sports market apart from virtuals, with none of it set aside for Bet Builders. They also expire after 7 days, and deposits with PayPal, Paysafecard, Skrill or Neteller won’t qualify, which is the same as Ladbrokes.

Paddy Power match Ladbrokes’ £5 qualifying stake and £30 in free bets, but their qualifying bet needs odds of 1/1 (2.0), and so a bet at 4/6 (1.67) would count with Ladbrokes but not with Paddy Power. 

Their free bets last 30 days, which is more than four times as long as the 7 days Ladbrokes give you, although they can’t be used on full-cover multiples such as a Yankee or Lucky 15.

Coral are also owned by Entain, and their Bet £5, Get £30 offer mirrors Ladbrokes’, with the same £5 qualifying bet at 1/2 (1.5), the same 6 x £5 split and the same 7-day expiry. 

That includes the £5 horse racing Bet Builder free bet, and so Coral won’t suit a football-only bettor any better than Ladbrokes. Choosing between the two comes down to which site and app you’d rather use.

Ladbrokes Offers for Existing Customers

Ladbrokes Acca Insurance

Acca Insurance covers football accas with five or more legs, each at 1/10 (1.1) or bigger, with combined odds of 3/1 (4.0) or bigger.

If just one leg lets you down, you'll get your stake back as a free bet of up to £10, and it applies to your first qualifying acca each day.

Ladbrokes Odds Boost

You'll get one Odds Boost token a day to use on a bet of your choice, and the boosted price covers the first £50 of your stake.

Ladbrokes have Best Odds Guaranteed on UK and Irish horse racing, which pays you out at the starting price if it's bigger than the odds you took. There are also Extra Place Races on selected races, where Ladbrokes pay out on more places than usual on the each-way part of your bet.

Andy's Verdict on the Ladbrokes Sign Up Offer

The Ladbrokes sign up offer is really standing out to me for one reason, and it's the 1/2 (1.5) minimum odds.

Sky Bet, Paddy Power and BoyleSports all need your qualifying bet to be 1/1 (2.0) or bigger.

That means a favourite priced between 1/2 (1.5) and evens counts here, where it wouldn't with any of those three.

I know what you're thinking. Six £5 free bets sound fiddly next to a single £30 free bet.

However, it means one bad result can't wipe out the whole £30, and four of the six can go on any sport you like.

Another factor I really like here is the football Bet Builder free bet, as a £5 Bet Builder at 10/1 (11.0) would return £50.

The 7-day expiry is the weak spot for me, as Paddy Power give you 30 days and Sky Bet give you 14. I'd sign up in a week with plenty of football on, so you're not rushing to use all six before they expire.

The deposit rules are where I'd be most careful, as a first deposit with PayPal, Skrill, Neteller, Paysafe, a prepaid card or one of the excluded debit cards rules you out. For a £5 bet at 1/2 (1.5), I feel it's one of the easier welcome offers to qualify for at the moment.
