Back Falkirk to defeat Alloa in the Scottish League Cup on Tuesday night.
After opening their campaign with an emphatic 5-0 victory over Edinburgh City, the Bairns slumped to a surprise 1-0 home defeat to Ayr last week.
As a result, Falkirk know that they have no room for error in their remaining two fixtures, with three points imperative on Tuesday night if they are to keep their hopes of reaching the knockout stage alive.
Despite it only being a friendly victory, John McGlynn’s men should head into this clash in good spirits after securing a 1-0 win over Belgian outfit Genk at the weekend.
Alloa, meanwhile, have struggled to make an impact in the competition so far, losing 2-0 away at Edinburgh before being held to a 2-2 draw by Stranraer.
Although the Wasps did prevail on penalties against Stranraer, their failure to beat lower-league opposition in either of their opening two fixtures does not bode well ahead of a meeting with Scottish Premiership opposition in the shape of Falkirk.
With all that in mind, I’m backing the visitors to emerge victorious.
