Racing Hit Rates shows the percentage of races in which a horse has won or finished in the top two, three, four and so on. The data covers every UK race, every day.
You can view each horse's hit rates across all of its races, or narrow them down to:
races at today's distance
races on today's ground conditions
That makes it easy to see whether a horse that places regularly has done it in conditions like today's.

Hit Rates is built for anyone backing a horse to place, or to win, who wants to see how often it has done so before.
Say you're backing a horse to finish in the top four at the Cheltenham Festival to make the most of an extra-places offer. Filter by distance and ground, and Hit Rates will show you the horses with the strongest record of finishing in the top four.
Finding this information yourself means studying racecards and trawling through form. Hit Rates gives it to you instantly. It's also linked to the ABC betslip, so you can add selections and place your bets without leaving Andy's Bet Club.
How Does Racing Hit Rates Work?
We've built a database of UK and Irish racing going back many years. For every race in it, we calculate how often each horse has won or finished in the top two, three, four and so on.
These hit rates can be calculated in three ways:
All races: across every race the horse has run.
Same distance: races within one furlong (220 yards, just over 201m) of today's trip.
Same ground: races on the ground conditions declared for today. If the going changes, for example after heavy rain, the hit rates update to match.
By default, horses are sorted from highest to lowest hit rate, then by odds from shortest to longest. You can re-sort by hit rate or by odds, and switch the odds between decimal and fractional.

What is a place hit rate?
A place hit rate is the percentage of a horse's races in which it finished in a given position or better. For example, a top-three hit rate of 60% means the horse finished in the first three in six of every ten races.
How do each-way place terms work?
The number of places paid and the fraction of the odds depend on the size of the field and the type of race. Bookmakers often pay extra places on big races, which is when Hit Rates is most useful.
