History
Betting Highlight
Numerous highlights but the one that always sticks in my mind was at University. I backed Paul Scholes to score the 1st goal in Scotland vs England and for the Three Lions to win. At the time, on a student loan, it was a big stake! Mine and my housemates reaction when Scholes scored the 1st goal was amazing - that one bet set me up for the whole term.
Betting Heartbreak
In the 2010/11 season I backed Darren Bent to be leading Premier League scorer at a decent price. The bet looked dead until his moved to Aston Villa where he got 8 goals in 16 games and at one time I thought it was going to cash. But a run of two goals in his last four games saw him finish just three goals short of the golden boot and my big payout was dead.
