Roma v Genoa
🏟
Saturday 5th February – 2:00PM KO
Jose Mourinho’s Roma side will be looking to make it three Serie A wins in a row when they welcome one of the league’s likely relegation candidates to the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday afternoon.
Roma beat Cagliari and Empoli in their last two matches and they will be hoping to recreate the first-half display from the Empoli match against Genoa.
The Giallorossi scored four goals inside 37 minutes in what was easily their most impressive attacking display of the season so far. Tammy Abraham found the net twice, with Sergio Oliveira and Nicolo Zaniolo also scoring.
Despite that display, Roma’s inconsistency this season suggests that they may not be so fluid against Genoa on Saturday afternoon. Whilst still very likely to win, Jose Mourinho’s side has struggled to put together a run of goalscoring performances so far this season.
Genoa are on their third manager of the season now and have won just one match so far this season. They are the joint second-lowest scorers in the division so far and are unlikely to cause Roma any major problems.
Expect the Giallorossi to labour to a low-scoring victory after struggling to break down a Genoa side that already seems to be fighting to keep its Serie A status intact.

Inter Milan v AC Milan
🏟
Saturday 5th February – 5:00PM KO
The Derby della Madonnina is easily the biggest game of the weekend and it could prove pivotal in the race for the Scudetto.
Inter currently has a four-point lead over AC Milan and they also have a game in hand over the Rossoneri. A win for Inter could be disastrous for Milan’s title hopes as they could very quickly find themselves 10 points adrift of their city rivals.
Inter boss Simone Inzaghi will have almost a full team to choose from with only Joaquin Correa and new signing Robin Gosens the notable injury absentees.
Stefano Pioli does not yet have the same luxury with Simon Kjaer still out injured, Fikayo Tomori unlikely to do any better than make the bench, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic also likely to miss out on a starting spot.
Inter are also the home team for the match at San Siro meaning that the majority of the 50% capacity crowd will be roaring them on. With the options available to Simone Inzaghi for his starting eleven as well as from the bench, this is a match where Inter should assert their dominance and further strengthen their grip on the Serie A title.
It is far from a forgone conclusion, though. As every football fan knows, a derby can do strange things to teams and Milan certainly has tools available to them that can hurt Inter if the league leaders are not at the races.
Rafael Leao and Brahim Diaz will need to be at their creative best and Olivier Giroud must take any chances that come his way.

Fiorentina v Lazio
🏟
Saturday 5th February – 7:45PM KO
This fixture marks the start of a new era for this Fiorentina team. After months of speculation and uncertainty, Dusan Vlahovic has moved on to Juventus.
Three new attacking players joined the club in January: Krystof Piatek, Jonathan Ikone, and Arthur Cabral. On paper, La Viola are better equipped than many fans could have hoped for to cope with the mid-season loss of their star striker.
Of the three, Cabral is the most aligned with being a replacement for the Serbian forward and should he start the match, he will be happy to see he is facing the worst defence in the top half of the Serie A table.
Lazio failed the strengthen at the back during the transfer window which seemed vital to their chances of climbing further up the table. They did sign Jovane Cabral from Sporting though to offer more cover for Ciro Immobile and a new option on the wings. There are plenty of quality attackers in Maurizio Sarri’s squad and they are likely to score against a Fiorentina team who are also better in attack than defence.
The game could go either way in terms of the final result, it will likely come down to who takes their chances. It would be very surprising though, if one of these two outfits does not find the back of the net on Saturday night.
