It may not be as straightforward as the pre-match odds suggest, but I do think Celtic will get the job done at Rugby Park on Sunday.

Martin O'Neill's win record across his two spells since returning to Celtic last season has been mightily impressive, with the Hoops storming their way to the title by winning each of their final seven matches before getting their defence up and running with a 1-0 win over Dundee.

It should also be noted that Celtic staged a stunning comeback to claim a 3-2 victory at this venue back in February. 

Notably, Kilmarnock also came up short when going up against Rangers under Neil McCann's watch last season, while their defensive frailties were exposed again last weekend as they shipped four goals away to newly promoted St Johnstone. 

That only strengthens the case for backing Celtic to come out on top here.

While I'm backing Celtic to collect all three points on Sunday, I do think Kilmarnock could contribute to the scoring.

Since taking over at Rugby Park at the turn of the year, Kilmarnock have only failed to score in four of the 18 Scottish Premiership matches that Neil McCann has been in charge of.

Across that sample, BTTS has landed on nine occasions, including in last season's corresponding fixture and Kilmarnock's 4-3 defeat at St Johnstone last Sunday.

Although Celtic kept a clean sheet against Dundee last weekend, it's worth pointing out that both teams scored in each of their final five league victories last season, as well as their subsequent Scottish Cup final win over Dunfermline.

Kilmarnock's front two of Joe Hugill and Tyreece John-Jules are more than capable of causing problems for the Celtic defence, and I think the hosts can find the net here, even if it ultimately proves to be nothing more than a consolation.

Celtic are a side that I have long favoured in the team corner markets, and I think five or more should be within range for the Hoops in Ayrshire on Sunday. 

Martin O'Neill's men may have to work hard for all three points, much like they did against Dundee last time out when they racked up nine corners. 

Indeed, the Hoops have been strong corner performers domestically for a number of seasons now, averaging just under seven per game last term.

Notably, Celtic earned five or more corners in all three of their meetings with Kilmarnock last season, hitting seven on each of their two visits to Rugby Park.

Given that Neil McCann's side were forced to defend six corners against newly promoted St Johnstone last Sunday, I would be surprised if Celtic fail to force five or more corners here.

Look for Callum McGregor to commit a minimum of one foul against Kilmarnock on Sunday. 

The Celtic captain tends to do the majority of his side's dirty work in the middle of the park, which naturally sees him fall foul of the referee from time to time. 

That was the case against Dundee on matchday one, with McGregor committing one foul during that contest. 

Looking further back, the 33-year-old averaged 1.04 fouls per game in the Scottish Premiership last season.

McGregor should be kept busy on Sunday, with the Celtic captain likely to come up against Kilmarnock duo Aaron Tshibola and Tom Lowry, both of whom were fouled during last week's defeat to St Johnstone. 

With all that in mind, one or more fouls from the Hoops skipper looks a solid selection.
