Saturday's Premier League Double 🔥 @ 2.14

Andy Robson

The Premier League is finally back

Hull are going to really struggle to be competitive in the Premier League this season with the lowest valued squad in the league. They did really well to secure promotion via the playoffs last season, but all the underlying data suggests that this achievement did come with quite a bit of luck and I think that will play out in them finishing towards the bottom of the table.

Manchester United enjoyed a decent second half of the season under Carrick following the departure of Amorim and this game gives them an opportunity to make a strong start to the campaign. Tielemans and Santos should feature as new signings and United actually had a pretty good away record last season - losing just four of their 19 away matches.

Did you know that Brentford have never beaten Tottenham at home in the Premier League?

It's quite an interesting stat, considering how difficult of a ground the Gtech has become in recent campaigns - especially for some of the traditional big six sides. Even during their disaster season last year, Tottenham beat Brentford at home and earned a point against Keith Andrews' side on the road.

It's also worth noting that most of Tottenham's poor form was at home last season, they ranked sixth for away form last season and crucially avoided defeat in 12 of their 19 matches. They have bolstered the squad significantly over the summer window with the likes of Tonali, Van Hecke, Fernandes and Robertson all joining and De Zerbi led them through a promising pre-season campaign where Tottenham avoided defeat across five matches.

Andy's Scottish Double 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 @ 2.08

Andy Robson

My last THREE Scottish Doubles have won and this one is best price

Ross County have made an excellent start to the season, and I think they can maintain that momentum when they travel to Airdrie on Saturday.

Stuart Kettlewell's side have quickly put any concerns over a relegation hangover to bed, topping a Scottish League Cup group that included top-flight outfit Dundee.

They carried that form into the league, winning each of their opening two fixtures before producing another impressive result last weekend by beating Dunfermline 2-1 away from home to book their place in the League Cup quarter-finals.

Airdrie, meanwhile, are still searching for their first league victory after drawing their opening two matches before being hammered 4-0 by Hamilton last weekend.

That setback will hardly fill the Diamonds with confidence ahead of the visit of a Ross County side that are playing with plenty of confidence at the moment.

I really fancy goals here, I’ve taken 2.5 in my SPFL acca too - but I’m bringing it down a level here for this double since the target odds are evens.

There's usually no shortage of goalmouth action when East Kilbride are involved, and I expect more of the same when they travel to Montrose on Saturday.

Mick Kennedy's side have adapted well to life in Scottish League One, with their games proving just as goal-heavy as they were last season.

Over 2.5 goals has landed in two of their opening three league games, while all four of their Scottish League Cup matches also cleared that line.

The case for overs is strengthened further by Montrose's own record, with each of their opening three league games producing at least three goals.

That includes a 5-0 home defeat to Hamilton on the opening day, while Stuart Petrie's side also pushed title favourites Ross County close in a 2-1 defeat a fortnight ago.

That suggests the hosts can play their part in what has the makings of another high-scoring affair.

Saturday's Daily Double 🇳🇱🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 @ 2.30

Andy Robson

I'm in good form with these Daily Doubles at the moment

Both of these sides have made positive starts to the season, avoiding defeat in each of their opening two matches of the campaign.

Fortuna Sittard have seen BTTS in both of their matches so far, holding PSV to a 2-2 draw on the opening day away from home before beating a newly promoted Cambuur side 3-1 in front of their own fans.

Alkmaar saw BTTS last time out as they came away 4-1 winners over Utrecht on the road in a game that saw them rack up an xG of 2.10. Their last visit to this stadium produced seven goals, with Fortuna Sittard coming away 4-3 winners on that occasion.

Fortuna Sittard scored 28 and conceded 29 goals at home in the Eredivisie last season, working out to an average of 3.35 goals per game.

I think Dunfermline can get on the scoresheet at least once when they travel to Livingston in the Scottish Championship on Saturday afternoon.

Neil Lennon's side have made a mixed start to the season, but they have generally been reliable in front of goal, netting 12 times across their opening seven games.

Notably, Dunfermline secured a 1-0 victory away to top-flight St Mirren during the League Cup group stage.

Livingston, meanwhile, were comfortably beaten 2-0 by Partick Thistle in their last outing and could consider themselves fortunate not to have suffered a heavier defeat.

The Lions also conceded when playing host to Partick during the League Cup group stage, and Dunfermline should provide a similar test on Saturday.

What Is a Bet of the Day?

A bet of the day is a tipster's best bet for that day, picked out from all available fixtures ahead of all other markets as the standout play. It is one bet, backed with a clear narrative reading, backed strongly by the data.

It tends to be lower-odds with a greater chance of landing, and it is based on recent form and matchup. The bet of the day typically offers the most value, and you may also see this referred to as a NAP or a banker, both of which are related terms covered in more detail below.

Today's Bet of the Day

Our bet of the day is published ahead of the day's fixtures, with the selection, reasoning and best odds all included in one place.

How We Choose Today's Selection

Every daily pick starts with a scan of the full fixture list for that day, looking for games where there is a strong narrative or a favourable matchup to exploit. Zooming in, we are looking for a good value bet - one where the market looks slightly inefficient, which we can take advantage of to secure some profit.

Premier League and EFL Bet of the Day

English football dominates the daily pick for most of the season, mostly because they are the leagues our experts are most familiar with.

Our tipsters have an abundant knowledge base across English football than any other competition, and the data available on Premier League and Championship clubs is extensive. Bets on these leagues can therefore be highly researched, and there are plenty of fixtures to take advantage of.

European and Champions League Bet of the Day

European fixtures pose a different challenge when it comes to selecting a bet of the day, which means the approach changes slightly. The focus is still on selecting the bet which offers the most value, but there is more of a preference for individual matchups. European fixtures can sometimes be a bit harder to predict, with less data to go off, which means player markets can often be more lucrative.

Football NAP of the Day Explained

What Does NAP Mean in Betting?

NAP is a term borrowed from horse racing, where it traditionally refers to a tipster's most confident selection of the day. It has carried across into football betting and is now widely used to describe a tipster's standout single pick.

How Our NAP Relates to Our Bet of the Day

Our NAP and our bet of the day are the same selection. We use both terms interchangeably depending on context - you may see one or the other used across our content, but they always refer to the same daily pick.

Football Bankers for Today

A banker in football betting is a selection considered close to a certainty that is used as the low-risk anchor leg of an accumulator, or occasionally backed as a standalone bet at short odds.

The term reflects confidence rather than value - a banker is something you genuinely believe will happen, even if the odds do not offer significant return on their own. It is most commonly used in the context of building an accumulator around a near-certain outcome, boosting the overall odds without introducing what feels like meaningful additional risk.

A banker and a bet of the day are not always the same thing. The bet of the day is the best overall pick from the day's fixtures. A banker, by contrast, is primarily about confidence and safety rather than the overall quality of the pick. You might back a short-priced favourite as a banker in a five-fold acca without it being a standout bet of the day in its own right.

Best Bet of the Day This Week

What Makes a Best Selection

Sometimes there are multiple potential contenders for a bet of the day, especially during busy periods of the fixture calendar. The best bet of the day is the one where all of the relevant factors align clearly. When the matchup looks great, and the data agrees, our confidence is high. Our best selection is the one which we are most confident in.

Our Weekly Round-Up Approach

At the end of each week, we review our bets and specifically focus on the ones which fell short. We look to reflect on why these lost, whether it was simply bad luck or maybe an oversight which wasn’t initially considered. The aim is not only to track bets to evaluate our progress, but also to pick out things we can learn from. That kind of honest review is what keeps our tipping standards as consistent as possible across the full season.

How We Pick Our Bet of the Day

Our Tipster Panel

The bet of the day is produced by a panel of three experienced tipsters, each of whom brings a different perspective to the betting process.

Ramis Ibrahim specialises in player bets, focusing on fouls, cards and shots markets. His selections are driven by the numbers, and he is particularly strong at picking out underpriced bets.

DB Spots Trends typically prefers to bet on more niche markets, exploring alternative angles of approaching a fixture. He is always looking for ways of finding value and exploiting inefficiencies in the market.

Grant Heaney combines statistical analysis with years of watching and writing about football across Europe's major leagues. He brings particular depth in Scottish football, giving the panel a consistent edge in an overlooked market.

Our Approach to Track Record

We do not currently publish a live profit and loss tracker, and we would rather be transparent about that rather than quoting a win rate we cannot verify. What we do include with every pick is the full reasoning behind the selection, so you can evaluate the quality of the thinking yourself before deciding whether to back it.

How We Use Data

Our tipsters draw on a range of data sources, with figures coming from Opta. We offer various tools to support the analysis process - the Bet Builder Stats provides team and player market data, the Accumulator Stats helps pick out value for bigger markets, and our Match Centres and Bet Pack bring fixture context and team news together in one place.

Bet of the Day Offers and Boosts

Price Boosts on Today's Selection

A price boost is when a bookmaker increases the odds on a specific selection above the standard market price. However, a price boost doesn’t always represent a value selection. Bookmakers sometimes boost players with a really tough matchup, which means the new price after the boost might still be too short.

Money-Back Specials

Some bookmakers run money-back specials on certain bets, refunding your stake as a free bet if the selection loses by a narrow margin. For example, Betfred, Sky Bet, Unibet and PaddyPower all offer money back as free bets when one leg of the acca lets it down.

These promotions can reduce the risk on your bet, which is a good thing, but the value depends entirely on the teams selected and the terms of each bookmaker. Always check the qualifying conditions, minimum odds, and whether the refund comes as cash or site credit before placing. All offers are subject to individual bookmaker terms and conditions. 18+ only. Please gamble responsibly.

Where to Bet on Today's Selection

The platforms most consistently worth checking for competitive pricing on singles and price boosts are bet365 and Paddy Power. Both of them regularly run price boosts on high-profile selections and solid odds on match and player markets. Bet of the Day FAQs

What is a bet of the day?

A bet of the day is a tipster's most confident selection from that day's football fixtures. It is chosen based on form and the tactical matchup. It is one pick, fully reasoned and backed with confidence.

What does NAP mean in football betting?

NAP is a term originally used in horse racing to describe a tipster's standout selection, and it has since been adopted in football betting. It refers to the one bet a tipster is most confident in on a given day, regardless of the market or odds. On this site, the NAP and the bet of the day refer to the same selection.

What is a football banker?

A banker is a selection a tipster considers near-certain to land. It is typically used as the anchor leg of an accumulator rather than as a standalone bet, and is primarily about confidence rather than value.

How is today's bet of the day chosen?

Each daily pick is chosen through a process of fixture analysis, form assessment and odds comparison. The selection typically has a favourable matchup, with solid underlying numbers which reflects excellent value. The bet with the highest confidence makes it as the bet of the day.

Is the bet of the day free?

Yes - all bet of the day content on this page is free to read without any registration or subscription required. Our tipsters produce these selections as expert content rather than promotional material tied to any bookmaker offer.

How often is the bet of the day updated?

The bet of the day is updated each morning ahead of that day's fixtures, with new selections published throughout the week in line with the football schedule. Our busiest days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday when the bulk of Premier League and EFL fixtures take place, but we publish selections only when strong picks are available.

What is the difference between a bet of the day and an accumulator?

A bet of the day is a single selection from one match, backed on its own. An accumulator combines multiple selections from different matches into one bet. The bet of the day can be used as one leg within an accumulator, but it is produced and presented as a standalone selection rather than as part of a multi-bet.
