What Is a Lucky 15?

A Lucky 15 is a four-selection multiple bet that creates 15 separate bets. It combines four selections into four singles, six doubles, four trebles and one four-fold, so a return is still possible even if not every selection wins.

That's the main appeal over a straight accumulator. Instead of needing all four to land for any payout at all, a Lucky 15 pays out on whichever combinations do come in, even if that's just one winner out of four.

Many bookmakers also offer bonus terms on top, such as extra winnings if just one selection lands or double odds if all four win, which can boost the return further.

It's a format built for punters who want the security of a return from a smaller hit rate, without giving up the bigger payout potential that comes from combining selections

How Many Bets Are in a Lucky 15?

A Lucky 15 is made up of 15 bets built from four selections.

These include four singles (one bet on each selection), six doubles (every possible pair of selections), four trebles (every possible combination of three selections) and one four-fold (all four selections together).

Four plus six plus four plus one equals 15, giving the bet its name.

Today's Lucky 15 Tips

We tip a Lucky 15 every day of the week, giving punters a fresh set of four selections to back. They can be combined into a Lucky 15 or backed individually.

Our daily Lucky 15 picks are chosen with the format's structure in mind, factoring in both the winning and placing prospects of each selection.

Best Lucky 15 Tips This Week

Our Lucky 15 tips are selected either by Dave Revers directly, or using our Racing Ratings and Racing Hit Rates tools, giving readers a mix of expert judgement and data-driven selections to choose from each week.

Each-Way Lucky 15 Tips

Taking a Lucky 15 each-way doubles the size of the bet, since every one of the 15 bets is split into a win part and a place part, covering both outcomes across every single and combination.

This gives the bet more chances to return something, since a selection only needs to place rather than win for its related bets to pay out.

How We Build Our Lucky 15 Tips

Our Tipster Panel

Dave Revers is our resident horse racing expert, with a particular passion for jumps racing.

He spent more than 10 years at the Racing Post, including time as a racing analyst, where he broke down the key elements of races and identified horses to keep an eye on for future outings.

His focus is on uncovering value each-way selections in races where the favourite could be worth taking on.

Our Approach to Track Record

We track every Lucky 15 bet that goes out on Andy's Bet Club as part of our ongoing commitment to transparency. Rather than quoting a single win-rate or strike-rate percentage, we focus on showing our tipsters' reasoning behind each selection, so readers can judge the quality of the picks for themselves.
How We Use Data

Our Lucky 15 tips draw on Racing Ratings and Racing Hit Rates

Racing Ratings scores every UK runner out of 10 each day, weighing up factors including ground conditions, course, distance, odds and trainer and jockey form.

Racing Hit Rates works differently, analysing how often a horse has previously won or finished in the frame across various finishing positions, including top 3, top 4 and beyond, with the data filtered by distance and going. This makes it particularly useful for spotting Lucky 15 and each-way value.

Together, the two tools give our panel a data-backed view of both winning chance and placing chance before any selection makes the page.

Build Your Own Lucky 15

The four selections in a Lucky 15 don't have to come pre-packaged as one of our daily tips. You can pick any four selections from the day's feed and combine them into your own Lucky 15, taken win-only or each-way depending on your preference.

If you'd rather build something different from the same four picks, our Horse Racing Accumulator Tips and Horse Racing Each-Way Tips betting pages cover the other ways to combine your selections.

Beyond the Lucky 15: Trixie, Yankee & Lucky 31

What Is a Trixie?

A Trixie combines three selections into four bets. This includes three doubles and one treble, with no singles included. It suits punters who want the safety net of a multiple bet without the extra outlay of a fourth selection.

What Is a Yankee?

A Yankee combines four selections into 11 bets. These include six doubles, four trebles and one four-fold. Unlike a Lucky 15, it does not include the four singles, making it a cheaper way to back the same four selections. The trade-off is that at least two selections must win before you get any return.

What Is a Lucky 31?

A Lucky 31 combines five selections into 31 bets. These include five singles, ten doubles, ten trebles, five four-folds and one five-fold. It follows the same principle as a Lucky 15, but extends the format to cover an extra selection and a wider range of combinations.

Racing Festivals & Major Events We Cover

We cover Lucky 15 betting across the season's biggest racing fixtures, including the Cheltenham Festival, Royal Ascot, the Grand National, the Epsom Derby, Glorious Goodwood and York's Ebor and Dante meetings.

Best Bookmakers for Lucky 15 Betting

Bet365 stands out for Lucky 15 betting thanks to its Best Odds Guaranteed offer, ensuring punters receive the higher price between the odds taken and the official starting price.

Given how much a Lucky 15's overall return depends on the odds of each selection, that extra value can soon add up.

Alongside that, bet365 regularly runs price boosts and racing-specific offers for existing customers, giving Lucky 15 punters extra ways to boost a return across all 15 bets.

Lucky 15 FAQs

How does a Lucky 15 payout work?

You're paid out on any of the 15 bets that include a winning or placing selection. This means even one winning selection from four can still produce a return, with many bookmakers adding bonus terms that can increase the payout further.

Are Lucky 15 tips free?

Yes, all the Lucky 15 tips on this page are free to read. There is no charge for access to our tipsters' selections or reasoning.

What's an each-way Lucky 15?

An each-way Lucky 15 splits all 15 bets into win and place parts. This doubles the total stake but gives each selection another way to contribute to the return, as a place finish can still generate a payout without an outright win.

How often are Lucky 15 tips updated?

Our Lucky 15 tips are updated every morning. New selections are added ahead of the day's racing.
