Atalanta completed the league double over AC Milan last season, meaning they are unbeaten in the last five against the Rossoneri.

However, the Gian Piero Gasperini era is over, and La Dea have suffered a stuttering start under their new manager, Ivan Juric. AC Milan sit second in the league coming into this clash, so they will look to reverse their poor fortunes in this head-to-head matchup.

These Atalanta v AC Milan Betting Stats also offer further insight ahead of Tuesday's Serie A clash.

These recommended Best Bet Builder Bookmakers are worth a look for Tuesday's action, too.

AC Milan Double Chance @ 1.50

Despite Atalanta’s success against AC Milan in recent years, in the last ten head-to-head meetings, Atalanta have won four, AC Milan have won four, and the remaining two matches ended in a draw, to highlight just how evenly-matched these sides have been.

Last season, Atalanta were one of the few Serie A sides who performed better on their travels than they did on home turf. La Dea won nine of their 19 league matches at the Gewiss Stadium last season, compared to 13 wins on the road. So far, that trend has persisted into the new campaign, as the Bergamo side have won just one of their four league matches this term in front of a home support.

Meanwhile, AC Milan come into this clash on an eight-game unbeaten run in all competitions, having kept three successive clean sheets in their away matches. They have been resolute at the back under Massimiliano Allegri, and it could be a tough night for Atalanta.

Over 7 Corners @ 1.36

Atalanta have failed to score in each of their last two home outings, which is not a record that bodes well for them here. However, they did rack up a total of 38 shots across those two games, amounting to 4.96 xG, so they have been unfortunate in that regard.

The Bergamo side saw over 7.5 corners land in both of those contests, contributing six corners against Slavia Prague in the Champions League, and seven against Lazio, almost clearing this line on their own. In fact, they have been adept at getting into the final third all season at the Gewiss Stadium this campaign, and are averaging 7.67 corners per game alone.

There have been at least eight corners in seven of the last nine head-to-head meetings between these two sides, with the two misses ending on exactly seven.

Rafael Leao Over 0.5 Shots on Target @ 1.50

In the absence of Christian Pulisic, Rafael Leao partnered with Santiago Gimenez up front at the weekend against Pisa. The Portuguese international marked just his second league start of the season with a goal, making it three goals in his last two games. Leao has been hindered by injuries this season, but seems to have put those concerns behind him - he comes into this clash in excellent form.

The 26-year-old has an impressive record against Atalanta, too. He has scored four goals in his last eight appearances against the Bergamo side, landing this selection in seven of those matches.

Atalanta have struggled against the bigger sides this season, as they lost 4-0 against PSG in the Champions League, while also managing a draw against Juventus. They conceded a total of 46 shots in those games, with 23 hitting the target, showcasing how their opponents were freely able to generate good chances.

Ademola Lookman Over 1.5 Shots @ 1.30

After missing most of the 24/25 campaign through injury, Scamacca scored on his return this season against Pisa. He played the following weekend against Parma, but was dealt another injury setback, which ruled him out for several weeks. In his absence, Ademola Lookman featured as the central striker, during which he managed seven shots in three games. However, he has shifted back into a more natural left-wing position in recent weeks, which has benefitted him.

The 28-year-old has landed this selection in all five starts this term, during which he is averaging 3.39 shots per 90. He also has an excellent record against AC Milan, having scored in both matches against them at the Gewiss Stadium. Lookman accumulated five shots against the Rossoneri at home last season, with three of those hitting the target, so should be looking forward to his matchup once again.

📈 Atalanta v AC Milan Form & Tactics

After eight Serie A games, Atalanta are the only team to have their unbeaten record intact. However, with just two wins to their name alongside six draws, La Dea are languishing in seventh, outside of the European spots. Under the management of Ivan Juric, Atalanta have proven themselves to be a difficult side to beat, but their lack of cutting edge and risk-averse playstyle has led to too many stalemates, which has been disappointing.

Only Roma and Como have conceded less goals than Atalanta this season, but with just 12 goals to their name after eight matches, they haven’t quite been at their best going forward. Losing the 2024/25 Serie A top goalscorer, Mateo Retegui, over the summer was always going to be a blow, and La Dea are yet to replace his output in the final third.

With five league wins under their belt, AC Milan have been more impressive this season, and they are fighting towards the top of the pile. A shock loss against newly-promoted Cremonese in gameweek one has tarnished an otherwise immaculate record for Allegri since joining in the summer, and his side come into this match on an eight-game unbeaten run.

However, the Rossoneri were left frustrated at the weekend, as they wasted the chance to remain at the pinnacle of the Italian top flight. They were held to a draw by another newly-promoted side, as Pisa pulled off the upset this time. However, AC Milan were fortunate to even take anything from the San Siro, as Zachary Athekame scored in the 93rd minute to salvage a point.

Still, Allegri’s side were firmly in control throughout, registering 20 shots and three big chances. The hosts had 68% possession, while Pisa’s penalty accounted for the majority of their xG tally. In fact, the visitors managed just three shots within the box, one of which came from the penalty spot.

📔 Atalanta v AC Milan Formation & Team News

AC Milan had just seven players available on the bench at the weekend, two of which were goalkeepers, as Allegri has been forced to contend with a bit of an injury crisis. Both Christian Pulisic and Pervis Estupinan picked up knocks while on international duty, while midfielders Adrien Rabiot and Ruben Loftus-Cheek have emerged as doubtful for this match.

Samuele Ricci made just his second start for AC Milan since arriving from Torino in the summer, but he marked it with an assist, so should be set to retain his starting position. Fikayo Tomori was an unused substitute at the weekend, missing his first league games of the season, so the Englishman will hope to displace Koni De Winter from the backline here.

Mitchell Bakker and Giorgio Scalvini are the only injury doubts for Atalanta, but there is a bit more uncertainty around how Ivan Juric will set up his side this weekend. He went with a more attacking 4-3-3 shape against Cremonese at the weekend, with regular wingbacks Davide Zappacosta and Lorenzo Bernasconi replaced by Nicola Zalewski and Daoul Bellanova, but that approach failed to really pay dividends, so Juric could revert to Atalanta’s more familiar 5-2-3 formation.
