📈 Fulham v Aston Villa Form & Stats

This is quite a big game for Fulham, who are still very much in the hunt for European football with five games remaining. However, Marco Silva’s men aren’t in the best of form, and they were involved in a forgettable 0-0 draw against Brentford last time out.

Fulham would have probably taken a point in the end - the hosts had the much better chances in the game, and Bernd Leno made an incredible save in the dying embers to keep the game scoreless. Interestingly, that was the fifth time in the last six games in which the Cottagers have failed to find the back of the net, so they will hope to rediscover their scoring touch on home turf this weekend.

Aston Villa come into this clash in a much better place, and they are unbeaten in any of their last four matches across all competitions. They were involved in a much more entertaining contest at the weekend, as it finished 4-3 at Villa Park after Tammy Abraham scored the winner in the 93rd minute. It was a game with plenty of twists and turns, but the hosts got the job done in the end. That result puts Villa level on points with Man United.

📔 Fulham v Aston Villa Formation & Team News

Unai Emery is unlikely to make many changes from that starting eleven against Sunderland last week, although Tammy Abraham seemed to pick up a shoulder injury after scoring, so he has emerged as a fresh doubt. Emi Buendia will hope to make a return to the starting eleven, which could see Ross Barkley drop out, and Morgan Rogers shift into a more central role. Pau Torres was left out of the squad last weekend, so Tyrone Mings looks set to continue alongside Ezri Konsa at the back.

Marco Silva might be more willing to change his side, given how recent results have gone. Raul Jimenez could return to lead the line in place of Rodrigo Muniz, while Samuel Chukwueze could start on the left wing after Alex Iwobi suffered a hamstring injury. Oscar Bobb is another option in that position. Antonee Robinson could replace Ryan Sessegnon at left back after only featuring from the bench last time out.
