Saturday's 4/1 Corners Acca

Fixtures for: Saturday 3rd May

Aston Villa v Fulham

Premier League

12:30

Under 5.5 Fulham Corners

Over the course of the season, Fulham have averaged 5.62 corners per game, falling shy of the six mark they’d require for this selection to fall through. They’ve won fewer than six in 53% of their away matches to date, and given Aston Villa’s impressive corner defensive record, they’re unlikely to improve on this at Villa Park.

Unai Emery’s men boast the league’s sixth-best preventative record, allowing their opponents no more than 4.53 per game, although this falls drastically to just 3.53 when considering only their home games. When playing in front of their fans, Villa have conceded under 5.5 corners in a remarkable 82% of matches.

Strasbourg v PSG

Ligue 1

16:00

PSG Corner Match Bet

Unsurprisingly, there’s a world of difference between these sides in terms of corner output, and the only explanation for these odds is that the bookmakers are underestimating PSG based on their forthcoming Champions League clash with Arsenal.

PSG’s average of 6.61 corners per game is the most of any side in Ligue 1, meanwhile, only Marseille have conceded fewer on average than PSG, who boast an impressive rate of just 3.16. They’ve won the corner match bet in 71% of league games, and most recently won a remarkable 17 against Nice, conceding 0.

Strasbourg, by contrast, have averaged just 4.00 corners per game - the fourth lowest in Ligue 1. At the other end, their rate of 5.06 conceded is the eighth highest of any side. As such, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that they’ve won the corner match bet in just 35% of matches.

Dortmund v Wolfsburg

Bundesliga

17:30

Over 2.5 Wolfsburg Corners

Although Dortmund are typically pretty effective in reducing opposition corners, their average of 3.81 conceded per game indicates there is value to be found here. They’ve allowed their opposition to rack up at least three in 11 of their last 14 Bundesliga clashes, in addition to each of their most recent three in the Champions League.

Wolfsburg themselves boast a strong corner record, with a rate of 4.74 corners per 90, leaving significant daylight between their average and the minimum required for this selection to come home. They’ve managed at least three in 81% of league games to date, notably including 10 of their previous 11 and each of their most recent 7.

St. Etienne v Monaco

Ligue 1

20:05

Monaco Corner Match Bet

Monaco typically earn a significantly greater number of corners compared to St. Etienne, averaging 5.55 per game, with only Lens and PSG racking up more. St. Etienne tend to fare pretty poorly in this department, ranking third from bottom with their lowly average of 3.77 per game.

It doesn’t get any better for Les Verts at the other end, where they concede a remarkable average of 5.97 per 90, trailing only Nantes with regards to that metric. As you might expect, Monaco are far more solid, allowing their opponents an average of no more than 3.29 per game.

Monaco have won 13 of their last 15 corner match bets. The two anomalies occurred in tough matches against Marseille and PSG, but even on both of those occasions, Monaco drew level.
