After failing to win their two matches prior to the November international break, Real Madrid travel to the Martinez Valero Stadium on Sunday night hoping to get back on track.
They still have a three-point lead over Barcelona at the top of the La Liga standings, so the aim here will be to extend that.

📈 Elche v Real Madrid Form & Stats
Real Madrid were left frustrated by Rayo Vallecano just before the international break, as it finished 0-0 at the Vallecas Stadium. Los Blancos failed to create any meaningful chances, and were perhaps fortunate to even come away with a point in the end.
The hosts managed 13 shots worth 1.2xG, while Real Madrid racked up 21 efforts, only amounting to 0.98xG. There were a lot of speculative efforts from range, and Kylian Mbappe was kept uncharacteristically quiet, registering just one attempt.
It was a similar story against Liverpool in the previous game, as Real Madrid failed to fashion any clear-cut chances at Anfield. Courtois was the standout performer, as his eight saves kept the scoreline respectable, but a 61st-minute header from Alexis MacAllister sent the three points to the home side.
Elche were also left disappointed before the international break, as they were pegged back by a 89th-minute penalty from Mikel Oyarzabal. That result means Elche have failed to win any of their games since the start of October, during which they have scored just three goals.
After a positive start to the season, they have regressed slightly in terms of results, and will hope for their fortunes to change once again.
📔 Elche v Real Madrid Formation & Team News
Pedro Bigas is the only injury doubt for Elche coming into this clash, meaning they are likely to go with a similar 11 to that which played against Barcelona. Rafa Mir and Andre Silva should feature in a strike partnership, with three midfielders, and five defenders.
Xabi Alonso will have much more of a selection headache, as he has to contend with several injuries to key players. Courtois is a fresh doubt along with Eder Militao. Fede Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni are unlikely to feature, while Dani Carvajal and Antonio Rudiger remain in the treatment room.
That should provide an opportunity for Trent Alexander-Arnold to feature at right back, while Raul Asencio and Dean Huijsen should partner up at centre back. Eduardo Camavinga will hope to retain his starting spot in midfield, with the familiar attacking trio of Mbappe, Vinicius Jr and Jude Bellingham aiming to cause problems in the final third.
