European Championship Darts 2024 Expert Tips & Predictions
It’s the Quarter-Final stage of the European Championship, in what’s been a tournament of surprises on the whole. Luke Humphries continues to make the game look easy and he’s our remaining outright selection we have to pin our hopes on. This is our final accumulator of the weekend and after a near miss on Friday night our darts expert is back to have another crack at finding us a winner:
Make sure to check out our European Championship 2024 Outright Tips, which feature five tips for outright winners along with a boosted 40/1 treble to follow along with across the weekend’s action.
Our darts expert enjoyed an excellent 2024 PDC World Darts Championship, yielding over 20 units worth of profit. Had you backed all our tips at the tournament with £10, you’d have ended it with over £200 in profit – we also landed a three-fold PDC World Darts Championship outright at odds of 14/1.
European Championship Darts 2024 Day 4 Accumulator Tips
🎯 Dirk Van Duijvenbode to Win v Luke Woodhouse
📈 Odds: 1.57
Dirk Van Duijvenbode enjoys a mammoth advantage in the head-to-head record between these two, winning six of their seven previous encounters. His resurgence of late showed no signs of abating yesterday, and I expect him to extend his record to seven wins in eight matches against ‘Woody’.
Luke Woodhouse has played to a similar level in both matches so far, averaging around the mid-90’s and while that’s respectable he could struggle to match the scoring power of his opponent.
Dirk is a massive 180 hitter and whilst he was out done in this respect by Gurney in his most recent match, he still managed to notch up five in response.
Van Duijvenbode has averaged mid to high nineties in his two games and has eliminated the number one seed Martin Schindler, who averaged over a ton against him and Daryl Gurney who hit seven 180s against him. This shows he’s ready for the battle and whilst Luke isn’t easily dismissed, Dirk should have enough.
🎯 Over (+1.5) 100+ Checkouts in Ritchie Edhouse v Gary Anderson
📈 Odds: 1.57
A tricky match to get any value in but one angle that does appeal to me is the over 1.5 100+ checkouts. The more legs that are played the higher our chances are and the Quarter-Finals are once again best of nineteen legs so there should be ample opportunities even if there is a one-sided winner.
Now these two haven’t played a great deal of these longer matches this season but they do have a good record of notching a 100+ checkout when they have.
Edhouse has played two best of nineteen matches this season. In defeat to Chris Dobey in the Matchplay he hit two and yesterday versus Michael Smith notched up one.
Anderson has played five matches over this length, and he has managed to register one each game too. If they could both manage to carry on with these records tomorrow we’d bag ourselves a winner.
Of course, one player could register more than one themselves and that would be enough. Edhouse for example had two 100+ checkouts in round one in his demolition of Ritchie Edhouse.

🎯 Over (+1.5) 100+ Checkouts in Luke Humphries v Jermaine Wattimena
📈 Odds: 1.62
The pace of this game could serve up a classic. It should suit both and help the game have a lovely flow to it.
Like the previous match between Edhouse and Anderson, there’s not a great deal of value that jumps out and once again I like the over 1.5 100+ checkouts angle in this match too.
Humphries has registered eight ton plus checkouts in his last eight games whereas Jermaine has notched up nine over the same amount of matches. They’re averaging around one per match and you have to remember that apart from yesterdays match, the rest of those games would have been over a much shorter format.
Given the incredible standard ‘Cool Hand Luke’ is currently producing with a 100+ average in his last seven matches there is always the possibility that he could run away with this match, having said that in these last eight matches analysed for finishing, he’s managed to hit two himself in three of them and those games only contained 11, 8 and 9 legs of darts.
🎯 Danny Noppert to Win v Ricardo Pietreczko
📈 Odds: 1.53
Danny Noppert is in the Quarter-Finals of the European Championships for the fourth year in a row and the ultra-consistent Dutchman should have too much for the home favourite, Ricardo Pietreczko.
There’s no doubt the local player will be buoyed on by the support he receives but the standard he’s playing just isn’t to the level of Noppert overall.
Pietreczko is averaging 94.60 for the tournament which is fine but his seasonal average of 89.95 is by far the lowest of the eight competitors that remain and last night he performed to that seasonal standard pretty much in beating an extremely lacklustre Andrew Gilding 10-3.
‘The Freeze’ as Noppie is known was sublime in defeating recent World Grand Prix champion Mike De Decker 10-6. He averaged 100.22 to exact avenge for the mauling he received off that opponent last weekend. He notched up eight maximums and it really was an impressive display.
His seasonal average of 96.82 trumps the German’s seasonal numbers and that’s why Noppert has won 65% of his matches this season compared to the 43% achieved by Pietreczko. I expect the Dutchman to dominate this especially if he can get into his opponent early.
