Barcelona have seen BTTS in each of their last five matches

Gordon has settled in really well to this Barcelona side, and has had the most shots on target of any Barcelona player in the Champions League this season.

All four of his shots on target actually came in one game, as Barcelona beat Galatasaray 4-1 a few weeks ago. That may sound alarming, but his record in LaLiga suggests that he’s much more consistent when it comes to finding the target.

Only Raphinha and Yamal (both 19) have had more shots on target than Gordon in LaLiga this season. The former Newcastle winger is averaging 1.81 shots on target per 90 domestically - and has found the target in 70% of his LaLiga matches.

It’s also worth noting that one of the main reasons as to why Barcelona went for Gordon in the summer was because of his record in the Champions League last season.

Gordon scored 10 goals across just nine starts for a Newcastle side that struggled to deal with the quality of the Champions League. He had 14 shots on target during that campaign, working out to an average of 1.64 shots on target per 90.

Believe it or not, only Mbappe (10) has had more shots on target in the Champions League this season than Nicolas Jackson (8).

He’s found the target twice in all three of his Champions League matches against Brugge, Fenerbahce and Viking. While this is an obvious step up in quality, Barcelona still offer up so many chances to opposition sides with their high line.

Jackson’s movement is really clever, and has improved further working under the guidance of Unai Emery - who seems to have a way to get the most out of forwards that previously haven’t been that clinical.

Jackson should also be full of confidence. He’s scored in each of his last two Premier League matches against Fulham and Man City, managing a shot on target in each of his last five games domestically.

Hansi Flick confirmed in a recent press conference that he has no intention of changing Barcelona’s style of play, which sees them play with a ridiculously high line without really having the right profiles to play in this way.

Their forward options almost always account for this weakness, but it does mean that Barcelona regularly give up chances to the opposition. They’ve failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their last five matches, and have only kept four across their last 14 games more widely.

This defensive weakness obviously leads to more work for Joan Garcia, who is a top keeper. He’s been forced into making 20 saves across his 10 starts domestically (2.11 per 90) and has also been called into action 13 times across his three Champions League starts (4.33 per 90).

Building on the obvious weakness of Barcelona at the back, Aston Villa have enough quality in forward areas to get on the scoresheet.

It would be a real shock if Barcelona didn’t manage to get on the scoresheet here, they’ve scored in each of their last 16 competitive matches - including every game this season.

So we’re mainly looking at Villa to score here, with Jackson and Manzambi being their main threats. Unai Emery’s side have scored at least three goals in every Champions League game so far.

This is an obvious step up in quality from those opponents, but I can’t get away from Barcelona’s risky style of play here which will inevitably lead to Villa getting decent chances in front of goal.

Barcelona have seen BTTS in each of their last five matches, including conceding goals to Deportivo La Coruna and Galatasaray. They also have seen BTTS in all three of their Champions League games.

Yamal has scored 12 goals in 14 appearances this season

Yamal has reached a new level of goalscoring this season, netting 12 goals across just 14 appearances across all competitions.

It’s a part of his game that has steadily improved over the last few years, with the winger going from 18 goals in his first full season to 24 goals last year.

Yamal scored six goals across his ten appearances in the Champions League last season. He’s already scored two goals across his three starts in the competition this year, and comes into this clash having scored twice at the weekend against Deportivo La Coruna.

Manzambi is such an exciting player, and has slotted in seamlessly as a replacement for Morgan Rogers.

He’s linked up really well with Jackson, and has scored three goals already this season - including one in the Champions League.

Only Buendia (27) and Jackson (33) have taken more shots for Aston Villa this season than Manzambi (3.70 per 90), with Manzambi featuring in four fewer games than this duo.

He’s had six shots on target across his seven appearances overall (1.17 per 90) and found the target against Fulham at the weekend.

Matty Cash has picked up more yellow cards than any other Aston Villa player this season, with five in eight Premier League games, including four in his last five matches.

The right-back has also been giving away plenty of fouls, averaging 2.19 per 90 minutes.

He recently gave away four fouls and got booked against Manchester City. Against Fulham last time out, he picked up another yellow despite committing just one foul.

Cash is likely to come up against Anthony Gordon, who's been fouled in three of his last four starts. He'll also have to deal with Raphinha's movement down that side.

The referee could make things even trickier for Cash. Davide Massa has averaged 4.35 yellow cards per game in Serie A over the past 12 months, while calling more than 25 fouls per match.

Rodri has committed 10 fouls across his 13 appearances for Barcelona across all competitions this season (1.00 per 90), but I’d expect that record to rise as we go through the season and there’s a favourable matchup here against one of the most fouled sides in the Premier League.

Aston Villa have long been a very good side when it comes to winning fouls, no English side has won more fouls than Villa since Emery took charge and that’s no coincidence - the way Villa play invites fouls and sets up individual matchups all over the pitch.

I’m particularly interested in Rodri’s battle with Joao Gomes here. I can see the Brazilian really getting involved in the midfield battle, antagonising Rodri in the process. He’s won four fouls in the Champions League this season.

Rodri will also have to manage the threat of John McGinn, who is one of the best players in Europe when it comes to winning fouls - maintaining an average of 2.00 fouls won per 90 or higher in each of the last three seasons.

Atletico Madrid v Bayern Munich Bet Builder 🧱 @ 4.72

Andy Robson

Bayern have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven games

Bayern have seen this selection land in each of their last 10 matches across all competitions, including all three of their Champions League games against Arsenal, Viking and Bodo Glimt.

Bayern have covered this line on their own in two of those games, and have also notably failed to keep a clean sheet across their last seven matches. That recent record would suggest that Atletico can contribute to the goal tally here in what should be an end to end and entertaining match.

Atletico’s recent matches have admittedly been a lot tighter, but their last two Champions League games have seen a red card produced in the second half - massively affecting the gamestate. They did see 3+ goals on Matchday 1, losing 2-1 to Liverpool at Anfield.

It’s hard to see how Atletico can get any success here by just being defensive solid. They have to offer an attacking threat to match the scoring power of Bayern, who have seen 3+ goals in 88% of their Bundesliga matches and 100% of their Champions League matches.

Bayern are averaging 8.0 corners per game in the Champions League this season, which is impressively high. Even though that figure is highly influenced by the Bavarians’ count of 15 against Viking, Bayern are averaging 8.1 corners per game across all competitions, highlighting just how attack-minded they have been.

However, it is unlikely to be one-way traffic for the full 90 minutes in Madrid - Atletico tend to play with confidence on home turf. They are unbeaten in any of their six games at the Metropolitano this season, so another open contest is expected on Tuesday night. Because of that, corners are one to target.

After a difficult start to the season, Julian Alvarez seems to finally be finding his confidence again, and he scored his first league goal against Deportivo La Coruna. Prior to that, Alvarez also found the back of the net against Stuttgart in the Champions League.

The Argentine international is averaging 3.81 shots per 90 across all competitions this season, which is the highest figure in the Atletico squad, and he is expected to play a big role midweek. Alvarez has the tools to exploit Bayern’s high line - if he can utilise his pace and clever movement in behind, he will pose a serious threat to the Bavarians.

Dayot Upamecano is averaging 1.3 fouls per 90 across all competitions this season, landing this selection in eight of his ten starts overall. That includes two infringements in the derby at the weekend, and one foul against Arsenal in the previous round of the Champions League.

The centre back likes to be aggressive in his duels, and regularly step out of the back line to try and win the ball back quickly. Upamecano will have the tough task of trying to contain Alvarez on Tuesday night, but also Kang-In Lee, who is averaging 1.65 fouls drawn per 90 across all competitions.

Man Utd v Roma Bet Builder 🧱 @ 3.46

Bryan Mbeumo has had more shots on target than any other Man Utd player across all competitions this season (14 - 1.19 per 90).

He found the target right at the death against Chelsea last time out, forcing a superb save from Mike Penders. That effort on target landed my Chelsea v Man Utd Bet Builder on Saturday, and I think Mbeumo can help us to another winner.

He’s incredibly consistent when it comes to finding the target, managing at least one effort on goal in every Premier League match this term. He’s found the target in two of his three Champions League matches, only failing to do so against Como.

Mbeumo should lead the line for Man Utd again here, with Benjamin Sesko still battling an injury.

Only Donyell Malen (21) has had more shots on target across all competitions for Roma this season than Soule (13 - 1.38 per 90).

He’s such a talented player, and is playing under the perfect coach on Gian Piero Gasperini - who has made a habit of taking attacking players to the next level, as he’s done with Malen over the last year.

Soule has also taken the second most shots for Roma (32 - 3.39 per 90) across all competitions, again only sitting behind Malen - who is having a freakish season.

Soule has had at least two shots in eight of his ten matches in Serie A this season, and will certainly get opportunities here against a Man Utd side who look hopeless at the moment.

Roma have been one of the most exciting sides in Europe to watch this season, and saw seven goals at the weekend as they beat Udinese 5-2.

They’ve seen 3+ goals in each of their last four games, including their last Champions League clash against Slovan Bratislava, where they covered this line on their own in a 4-0 win.

Roma have seen 3+ goals in two of their three Champions League matches, with the exception of their 1-1 draw against Fenerbahce which is a real anomaly when you look at Roma’s games overall.

Man Utd are winless across their last nine matches, which is one of the worst records in the club’s history. They conceded an xG of 3.01 against Chelsea over the weekend, and conceded four in their last Champions League clash against Como.

Mario Hermoso committed three fouls at the weekend as Roma came away 5-2 winners against Udinese. I’d consider looking at higher lines for the centre back here, they’re pretty generously priced for a player that is regularly quite aggressive.

Hermoso has committed a foul in all three of his Champions League matches so far, committing multiple fouls against Real Madrid and Fenerbahce. He committed 40 fouls across 25 starts in Serie A last season (1.72 per 90), also maintaining an average of 1.93 fouls committed per 90 in the Europa League.

It’s clear that Hermoso is a consistent player when it comes to winning fouls, and will be one of the main Roma players to watch here for infringements. You can back Hermoso to commit 2+ fouls at 2.50, which is a really appealing price.

West Brom v Southampton Bet Builder 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🧱 @ 4.10

Andy Robson

Schlotterbeck has had 1+ shots in 10 of 11 Championship games (91%)

Southampton are stronger than West Brom on almost every metric, they’re not in terms of their league position but that’s due to their four-point deduction.

Saints would be three points higher than the overperforming Baggies if it wasn’t for the deduction, but they can pull two ahead of them with a win at The Hawthorns.

Max O’Leary Goals Prevented of 6.00, comfortably the best in the league, is one of the main reasons why West Brom are still bouncing around in the play-offs, they won’t be for much longer if performances don’t improve.

The 3-1 win at West Ham looks good on paper, they took advantage of some very poor defending and such that could spell the end of Nuno Espirito Santo sooner rather than later.

Southampton have scored seven goals in their last two games, and could continue in that vein against the Baggies’ overperforming backline.

This bet has won in 10 of Schlotterbeck’s 11 Championship games this season (91%).

He had two shots on target, both headers from corners, in the 4-1 win v QPR on Saturday, and West Brom are allowing 4.62 shots per 90 from set pieces, the 7th-most in the division.

0.46 set piece xG against ranks them as the 5th-leakiest side in the league when it comes to denying the opposition chances from dead balls.

The odds are very attractive for this bet, considering how reliable Schlotterbeck has been at delivering on this selection (10/11) , 47% of the xG that West Ham generated against West Brom at the weekend came from set pieces.

Max Kilman had two shots from corners against West Brom on Saturday, you can get 5.50 in places on Schlotterbeck matching that tally.

He’s not a striker, but the biggest shot threat in the West Brom side is Isaac Price.

Price is at 3.07 shots per 90 in the league this season, has landed this bet in 10 of 13 league appearances and will lead the charge against the visiting automatic promotion hopefuls.

Even though Southampton have the 7th-best backline in terms of xG against, they concede a lot of shots, just lower probability ones than many of their second tier rivals, which is good for this bet.

Only Blackburn (13th), Charlton (20th), Watford (21st), Preston (24th) and Lincoln (16th), have conceded more shots than Southampton this season, and Price does not need a second invitation to let fly.

Price has had four shots from free kicks this season and has scored two penalties, so there’re plenty of circumstances where this selection sails in, even if Southampton are the better team on the night.

This bet has won in five of West Brom’s last six, even Preston covered this line and they’re six points adrift of safety already.

West Ham, Wolves and Birmingham have all managed eight corners or more against West Brom, in those last six outings, and Southampton are a side that’ll be competing in the same section of the table as that trio this season.

Max O’Leary’s excellent form between the sticks could also help this bet, tipping shots round the post that are destined for the back of the net more than other goalkeepers have been able to.

Saints have comfortably covered this line in their last three, with nine against QPR and six against West Ham in their last two.

Fenerbahce v Liverpool High Odds Bet Builder 🔥🧱 @ 43.41

Andy Robson

Barcola has three goals and two assists in his last four starts

Despite that, Archie Brown was fouled twice in that 6-0 defeat against Aston Villa a few weeks ago, and he has been adept at drawing contact this season.

The fullback is averaging 3.0 fouls drawn per 90 in Europe this term, and he has landed this selection in all three appearances. Liverpool press aggressively under Iraola, and they are averaging 13.0 fouls per game across all competitions this season. They will be eager to bounce back from their loss at the weekend, and this is a favourable matchup for Brown to extend his streak.

Bradley Barcola has three goals and two assists in his last four starts across all competitions, and he should be looking forward to playing in the Champions League again. The former PSG man bagged a hat-trick against LASK Linz in round two, before providing the assist for Isak to score the winner in the next game.

It took a while for the Frenchman to adapt to life on Merseyside, but he has really come out of his shell in recent weeks. Based on how Fenerbahce capitulated against Aston Villa just a few weeks ago, this looks like a good matchup to back Liverpool, and their forwards should be licking their lips.

Milan Skriniar had a really tough time at Villa Park, and this matchup promises to be no easier. Since that game, the centre back committed two fouls against Alanyaspor, two infringements against Slavia Prague, and three fouls against Goztepe. He was carded in the latter two matches.

The centre back is averaging 1.07 fouls per 90 across all competitions this season, and he has picked up five yellow cards in his last 14 matches. That shows how Skriniar can often be caught out of position and forced into cynical fouls. Interestingly, his numbers rise to 1.43 fouls per 90 when playing at the Chobani Stadium, which bodes well for this selection.

Despite losing 6-0 against Villa, Fenerbahce did create some good opportunities, and they finished the game with 15 shots. Oguz Aydin accounted for five of those efforts, which was more than any other player in the Fenerbahce squad. The 26-year-old is averaging 3.07 shots per 90 across all competitions this season, and he scored a wonder goal against Slavia Prague in the previous round of the Champions League.

Impressively, he scored that with his weak foot, which shows just how lethal he can be from distance. Aydin is always looking to cut inside and drive towards goal, and he isn't afraid to try his luck from range either.

Fenerbahce v Liverpool Bet Builder 🧱 @ 6.31

Andy Robson

Liverpool have scored 12 goals in three Champions League games this term

Liverpool have been one of the most entertaining sides to watch in the Champions League, with a total of 12 goals scored from just three matches so far. That includes a notable comeback against Villarreal in the previous round - after going 2-0 down, Liverpool came back to win 4-3. That was the second time the Reds have conceded three goals in Europe this term - they also played out a thrilling 6-3 win against LASK Linz.

Fenerbahce haven't quite been as expansive, but over 2.5 goals has landed in each of their last seven matches across all competitions. They haven't been in the best of form heading into this clash against Liverpool, which doesn't bode well for them.

Fenerbahce suffered a 2-1 defeat against Gotepe at the weekend, and there were a total of six yellow cards dished out in that match. Prior to that, Fenerbahce landed this selection on their own against Galatasaray, racking up six yellow cards. The Turkish side have been no stranger to the referees notebook, and they are averaging 2.44 cards per game in their Champions League matches so far, including qualifiers.

Liverpool have also shown more of an aggressive edge under Andoni Iraola, and there were seven cards shown in their match against Arsenal at the weekend. They have seen an average of 4.56 cards per game across all competitions this season.

Mason Greenwood wasn't given the friendliest reception when returning to English soil a few weeks back, as he was fouled three times against Aston Villa. Fenerbahce lost that game 6-0, and it was barely a contest with Greenwood being subbed after 69 minutes. The former Man United man is likely to be met with another frosty reception by Liverpool.

Greenwood has drawn six fouls in his three Champions League starts this season, and he is likely to be up against Kostas Tsimikas on Wednesday night. The Greek international has featured sporadically this season, but he is averaging 2.59 fouls per 90 from his limited game time.

Iraola has typically opted for changes in midweek games this season, so Rio Ngumoha is perhaps most likely to start on the left wing. Gakpo could shift into a centre forward role, with Alexander Isak rested. Gakpo was on the scoresheet in the EFL Cup midweek, albeit from the penalty spot, but he did land this selection just after with a shot on target from outside the box.

The Dutch international didn't have as much success in the final third at the weekend against Arsenal, but there should be more opportunities for him going forward against Fenerbahce. He had three shots with one on target in his last European outing, which was against Villarreal.

Bristol City v Wolves Bet Builder 🧱 @ 3.90

Andy Robson

Said has had 4 shots on target in his 4 league starts so far

Wolves are the 6th-most fouled team in the Championship so far this season, and tricky winger Rafiki Said is among their hardest players to dispossess.

He’s completed over two successful dribbles per 90 minutes in the league this season, and has attempted 4.55 to the same measure.

Not a player you want to come up against for your second game in five days.

This bet won in Said’s first two league starts, starting Wolves’ last four in a row, but hasn’t in his last two despite completing three dribbles against Cardiff last time out - if he keeps doing that it’s only a matter of time before he draws enough contact to force the referee’s whistle.

In his last two games he’s been subbed off for Mateus Mane, who’s at 2.34 fouls won per 90 in the league.

The likes of Rafiki Said and Fer Lopez have been taking more shots than Armstrong, but he’s still averaging 2.49 per 90 for the season and is a key cog in the attack with Raul Jimenez out injured.

Armstrong is averaging 4.39 touches in the opposition box per 90, out of the players expected to start for Wolves that ranks him 2nd behind Said, and is a figure that if he replicates will give him a good opportunity to land this selection.

Bristol City conceded 11 shots from inside the box last time out, in a 3-2 win at Bolton at the weekend, that is where Armstrong is most dangerous with 18/21 league shots this season coming from inside the area (86%).

Armstrong, now 29, has scored 94 goals in the second tier in his career, he should reach 100 this season and the 3.25 on him getting on the scoresheet also appeals.

Wolves have the joint-4th best attack in the Championship so far this season and their xG data suggests they’re performing in a sustainable way going forward.

They’ve failed to keep a clean sheet in nine of 13, which includes conceding in five of their six league away games.

While Wolves can cover this line on their own, Bristol City have been generating better chances than their goals for column would suggest.

Scoring 15 from just under 19 xG, the 3rd-biggest underperformance in the league, and coming off the back of a game where they scored three and generated 3.33 xG on their travels.

With a limited sample size and only four league starts under his belt, the market may still be catching up to just how threatening Said has been since breaking into the side.

The 26-year-old’s first goal contribution came at the weekend when he assisted Adam Armstrong after just 15 minutes, and he’s had four shots on target across those four starts.

The bet won in three of those four starts, it didn’t in a 1-1 draw with Portsmouth where he still had two shots including one from a free kick.

The implied probability of odds of 1.80 is 55.6%, yet it’s landed in 75% of his league starts and he’s coming up against a side who conceded six shots on target to Bolton (19th) on Saturday.

Slavia Prague v Arsenal Bet Builder 🇪🇺🧱 @ 6.25

Andy Robson

Eze has won more fouls than any Arsenal player in the CL this season (8)

I'd expect Mikel Arteta to rotate here, and Merino should be part of those changes - either in midfield or as a number nine.

Despite Havertz and Gyokeres being the two main striker options that Arteta has rotated between over the last year, I still think Merino is the best finisher at the club.

He scored twice when Arsenal travelled to Slavia Prague in the league phase last season, which is a good example of the threat he can pose.

He's incredibly good in the air, which could be useful for Arsenal here against a Slavia Prague side who will most definitely sit quite deep.

Merino scored four goals across 10 starts in the Premier League last season, averaging 0.70 shots on target per 90 across those games. If you look at the games where he played as a number nine, that number jumps to 1.30 shots on target per 90.

It may not be a popular approach, but you have to respect the defensive organisation and resilience of this Arsenal side.

They refused to buckle against Liverpool at Anfield last time out, marking the first time that Mikel Arteta has won at the ground as a manager - surviving 17 shots and 52 touches in their box to secure a 1-0 victory.

This should be really routine for Arsenal, Slavia Prague have struggled at this level and have failed to win any of their three matches - losing against Sabah and Lens in their opening two games of the Champions League.

Arsenal find the early stages of the Champions League so routine, they won all eight of their games in the league phase last season, scoring 23 goals in the process and only conceding four.

These sides actually faced off as part of that campaign, with Arsenal coming away comfortable 3-0 winners as the away side - despite Arteta rotating quite heavily for that game.

David Moses is going to have a really tough assignment here in trying to deal with an Arsenal midfield that use the ball better than any other side in Europe.

He's committed five fouls across just 180 minutes of action in the Champions League this season (2.50 per 90), also making seven tackles and recording 12 defensive contributions.

This is obviously a small sample size, but Moses also committed seven fouls across his five starts in the Champions League last season (1.72 per 90).

These Champions League metrics both represent a rise in Moses' domestic foul numbers, suggesting that he finds the level of the competition quite difficult - which is also the case for the majority of this Slavia Prague side.

Moses will have to deal with either Bruno Guimaraes or Myles Lewis-Skelly, who are two of the strongest players in the Premier League when it comes to winning fouls.

Eze's main opportunities for Arsenal this season have come in the Champions League, with the former Palace man starting all three games in Europe so far - compared to just 210 minutes of action in the Premier League.

This is mainly down to the fact that Arteta doesn't trust Eze out of possession. He requires complete discipline from his attacking players in the Premier League, which isn't as necessary in the Champions League, especially against this calibre of opponent.

Eze has won more fouls than any other Arsenal player in the Champions League this season (8 - 3.12 per 90), winning at least two fouls in all three games.

He was fouled four times against Bayern Munich last time out, and should be able to win at least two fouls against a Slavia Prague who are committing 12.33 fouls per game in the Champions League.

Leipzig v Man City Bet Builder 🇪🇺🧱 @ 4.61

Andy Robson

Haaland has 11 more shots on target than anyone else on the pitch

This selection speaks for itself most of the time.

Haaland has had 11 more shots on target across all competitions than any other player on the pitch here (23 - 2.11 per 90), and is usually deadly against this level of opponent.

Haaland has had 3+ shots on target in both of his Champions League matches so far against Porto and PSG, managing four shots on target in City's opening away game in the Champions League as they won 2-0 in Porto.

He's also found the target in all four of his away games in the Premier League, managing multiple efforts on goal in two of these games.

I think City will have too much for Leipzig here, the home side have conceded four goals on two occasions in the Champions League this season against Real Madrid and Como, which would suggest that they're just not at the level of the elite sides in the Champions League.

I've been waiting for Antonio Nusa to have a proper breakout season, and it finally looks like it's come for the winger who has registered 12 goal contributions across his 13 appearances in all competitions.

He's always had this level of talent, but has previously lacked the confidence or clinical edge to add the numbers to his game to be a top winger.

A strong World Cup campaign seems to have given him that confidence, and he comes into this clash having registered a goal contribution in each of his last three appearances.

No Leipzig player has had more shots on target across all competitions than Antonio Nusa (12 - 1.23 per 90), with Nusa having an effort on target against Como and PSV in the Champions League so far.

City are far from settled at the back, and the pace of Nusa could be perfect for the home side as City's high line has been exposed quite regularly over recent weeks.

I think Leipzig can contribute to the goal tally here, they've scored a remarkable 18 goals across their four home games in the Bundesliga (4.5 per game), notably winning all four of these matches without conceding.

City are a natural step up in quality from the sides they've faced in the Bundesliga, so I wouldn't read too much into Leipzig keeping those clean sheets - but the scoring power is undeniable.

Leipzig have seen 3+ goals in two of their three Champions League games against Real Madrid and Como, conceding four goals in both games. They're managed by former City man Martin Demichelis, who wants to play in quite an expansive way.

Man City will welcome Leipzig coming onto them, they've seen 3+ goals in each of their last two Champions League matches and in eight of their last nine matches more widely.

Nkunku is probably not the first player that would come to mind for fouls, but he's got a really consistent record in the Champions League this term and he's been playing just behind the central striker - setting up a battle against Elliot Anderson and Enzo Fernandez.

Nkunku has committed seven fouls across his three appearances in the Champions League this term (2.76 per 90) - more than any other Leipzig player. His role just behind Romulo as the main striker suits Nkunku, I've never seen him as a number nine but this role inevitably leads to Nkunku contesting quite a few duels.

No player on the pitch has won more fouls than Elliot Anderson across all competitions this season (32 - 3.18 per 90). It's an incredibly strong part of his game, and he should be able to tempt Nkunku to commit at least one foul with the two having a direct matchup.

Leipzig v Man City High Odds Bet Builder 🔥🧱 @ 14.85

Andy Robson

Cherki has nine goal contributions in 14 City appearances

Cherki is such a talented player and has already registered nine goal contributions across his 14 appearances in all competitions for Man City this season.

If there's one thing that lets Cherki down at times, it's his work ethic and discipline, Maresca has touched on those traits about Cherki when explaining why he doesn't always start despite his obvious talent.

He was brilliant in City's 5-1 win over AEK Athens last time out in the Champions League, scoring a wonderful goal and having the most touches of any City player in the opposition box (13).

Leipzig have conceded 4+ goals on two occasions in the Champions League already this season against Real Madrid and Como.

City can cause them similar issues with the quality they have in forward areas, only Haaland (13) has registered more goal contributions than Cherki (9) across all competitions this season.

Many of you probably remember Neil El Aynaoui from the World Cup, where he was excellent for Morocco alongside Ayyoub Bouaddi - who could line up on the opposite side of the pitch here.

El Aynaoui somehow managed to avoid a booking over the six games he played at the World Cup, despite committing 15 fouls (2.40 per 90). If you were backing cards during the World Cup, you'll know how resistant the referees were to reach for their pockets - so that record doesn't put me off too much.

He's picked up two yellow cards across his seven starts for Leipzig domestically, committing just seven fouls to earn these cautions (1.08 per 90). He also recently picked up a yellow card in the DFB Pokal, inside just 45 minutes of action.

El Aynaoui's potential opponents here really pull the case for a card together. He'll be up against Anderson (3.18 fouls won per 90), Cherki (1.07 fouls won per 90) and Fernandez (1.86 fouls won per 90).

Enzo Maresca received quite a bit of criticism from City fans for persisting with Enzo Fernandez in City's defeat to Brighton at the weekend.

He was eventually hooked off at the 64 minute mark, having two shots before being replaced.

Enzo Maresca clearly sees Fernandez as a player that can impact the game in the final third, he mentioned this regularly when the pair were at Chelsea - resulting in Fernandez having the two best goalscoring seasons of his career under Maresca.

He's taken eight shots across his three starts in the Champions League this term (2.87 per 90). We'll need him to be a little more accurate with his efforts here as only one of those has found the target.

Elliot Anderson has won more fouls across all competitions than any other player on the pitch here (32 - 3.18 per 90).

It's an incredibly strong part of his game, and usually results from opposition sides wanting to stop Anderson playing those incisive passes between the lines, which is one of the main reasons why City signed him.

Anderson was fouled three times in City's defeat to PSG in the Champions League a few weeks ago, and will face off against Neil El Aynaoui and Christopher Nkunku, who have both been committing fouls regularly for Leipzig this term.

What Is a Bet Builder?

A bet builder allows you to combine multiple selections from the same match into a single bet. You can select a simple bet builder with just a few markets, such as a player to be carded, a team to win, and over 2.5 goals, or you can push the boat out a bit further and go for a long list of markets.

The odds given for the bet builder will be a reflection of the combination of each leg landing. A bet builder combines selections from the same fixture, unlike an acca, which combines bets from different matches.

Today's Bet Builder Tips

We cover bet builder tips across the week for every major competition, and our content is structured across key leagues and tournaments.

Premier League Bet Builders

Premier League bet builders can be quite diverse with so much data available on teams and players. There tends to be quite a range of bets taken on player fouls, fouls won, shots, and shots on target.

New markets are consistently being added as well, such as player shots created and player tackles. Premier League bet builders tend to be focused on a specific matchup, particularly when a defensive player will be up against a tricky winger.

Champions League Bet Builders

Champions League bet builders tend to take a slightly different angle. There can be quite a large gulf in quality between opponents during the league phase, while you also get some mammoth fixtures between the top European sides.

For these matches, bet builders tend to be more card-focused, as teams don’t want to make a mistake. In more one-sided matchups, goalscorer markets are one to target.

EFL Bet Builders

EFL bet builders tend to be more focused on team markets, as coverage is not as diverse as the Premier League. Referees also tend to be a bit more lenient compared to the top flight, but games are much more scrappier. That makes player foul markets particularly appealing, but not necessarily cards.

European Leagues Bet Builders

Bet builders across the top European leagues can vary quite significantly. La Liga bet builders tend to be more focused on fouls and cards, as games can be quite intense, especially between rivals.

Bundesliga bet builders lean more on shots and goalscorers, as matches are often a bit more open with chances at both ends of the field. Ligue 1 and Serie A are a bit less consistent, so bet builders in these leagues can vary quite a lot, with a mixture of team and player markets.

Andy Robson's Bet Builder Tips

Andy Robson is one of the most respected voices in the UK sports betting community, with over a decade of experience. His reputation is built on research-led tipping that prioritises genuine value over high-volume output.

Every selection in his builders is backed by specific data, a clearly defined matchup angle or a well-evidenced statistical pattern.

Andy's bet builders typically run between three and five legs, in the odds range of 3/1 to 5/1 for safer builders, and 10/1 or more for longshots.

He concentrates primarily on the Premier League, Scottish Football and the Champions League, where he can really use his wealth of experience and knowledge to find value in the markets.

Best Bet Builder Tips This Week

Highest-Rated Bet Builders

Our highest-rated builders are the ones where every leg carries both statistical backing and a clear narrative. It is not enough for a selection to only have favourable historical data - we also need to consider the matchup and whether the data is relevant for this specific fixture.

We consider the opponent, direct matchup, referee and game context. When the data and narrative align, our confidence is high for these bet builders.

Best Value Bet Builders

Value means finding selections where the odds on offer exceed the true probability of the outcome landing. A leg priced at 2.0 implies a 50% probability - if our analysis suggests the actual likelihood is closer to 60%, that represents value for us to take advantage of.

Shortest Bet Builders

Shorter bet builders typically contain two or three legs at relatively short individual prices. With fewer selections included, there are fewer individual outcomes that need to land for the overall bet to be successful, although every leg still needs to win.

How We Build Our Bet Builder Tips

Our Tipster Panel

Our bet builder content is produced by a panel of experienced tipsters, who offer different angles to approach each fixture.

Ramis Ibrahim has a background in sports analysis and focuses primarily on player markets - fouls, cards, and shots. He is adept at identifying strong individual matchup angles that the odds haven't fully accounted for.

DB Spots Trends specialises in analysing how players and teams tend to play in certain scenarios, and using the numbers to confirm whether a bet might be good value or not. His focus is always on looking to exploit inefficiencies in the market.

Grant Heaney draws on years of watching and writing about football with statistical analysis to carefully select his bets. He covers all of Europe’s major leagues, with a particular passion for the SPFL.

Our Approach to Track Record

We do not currently publish a live profit and loss tracker, and we would rather be transparent about that rather than quoting a specific accuracy percentage.

However, each bet is heavily researched with the reasoning included, so you can evaluate the quality of the thinking yourself.

Responsible gambling is central to our approach - only bet what you can afford to lose, and use the tools available through your bookmaker to set limits if needed.

How We Use Data

Our tipsters draw on a range of data sources, with figures coming from Opta. We offer various tools such as the Bet Builder Stats, Accumulator Stats, Bet Pack Competition Centres, and our Match Centres to help easily see whether a bet is good value or not, and whether it is worth taking.

Best Bet Builder Markets

Best Player Markets

The four player markets that feature most consistently in bet builders are anytime scorer, shots on target, player assists and player cards. Anytime scorer works best when a player is in good form, takes penalties and faces a weak defensive opponent.

The focus here is usually on attacking players; Shots on target can target a broader range of players - sometimes even defenders if they have a strong matchup, or a physical advantage from set-pieces.

Player assists suit wide players and set-piece takers in games where a team are likely to dominate possession. Player cards can be a lucrative market when you have a fullback defending a direct winger, or simply a defensive player who loves to fly into challenges.

Best Team Markets

Team markets are a lot broader than player markets, and the most common things to back are match winner prices, total goals, total corners and total cards. It can be more difficult to find value in match winner and total goal odds, but this is where analysis of specific game context and injuries becomes particularly handy.

Corners become a market to target in games which are likely to be more open, or dominated by one side, whereas cards are the opposite. When a game is expected to be cagey and tightly contested, you are more likely to see the dark arts coming into play - cynical fouls and time-wasting, which makes cards a target.

Markets to Combine Carefully

Correlation is an important concept in bet building, and you can use it to increase your odds without asking for too much more. For example, if you’re targeting a fullback to commit fouls against a winger who goes down easily, you can combine fullback fouls with winger fouls won, which will boost the odds. You can often get these selections treated as independent outcomes by the bookmaker.

With that being said, it’s not advisable to stack selections for bigger markets, such as a player to score and over goals. If you back a striker to score, and his team to also score over 2.5 goals, the odds won’t change very much as the relationship between the two markets will be accounted for.

Bet Builder Offers and Boosts

What Is Bet Builder Super Sub?

Bet Builder Super Sub is a promotional feature that allows your bet to continue even if your player is substituted. If you back a player to have a shot on target, and he is replaced after 60 minutes on a blank, then the bet will roll over to his replacement, giving you an extra 30 minutes to get over the line.

Bet Builder Insurance Explained

Bet builder insurance is a promotion where the bookmaker refunds your stake if your builder loses by exactly one leg. It is popular because it removes frustration from being let down by one leg.

Bet Builder Price Boosts

A price boost means the bookmaker has increased the odds on a specific bet builder. These are usually pre-built, meaning they can be a bit of a trap as some bet builders can still be poor value even after the boost. However, sometimes these price boosts present genuine opportunities. A genuinely good price boost has consistent data to back it up, as well as a favourable matchup.

Bet Builder Tips FAQs

How do bet builder odds work?

Each leg in a bet builder has individual odds, and the bookmaker multiplies those odds together to produce a combined price. A two-leg builder at 2.0 and 3.0 would return 6.0 if the legs are independent, but the bookmaker may shorten that price if the outcomes are correlated.

Are bet builder tips free?

Yes - all tips published on this page are produced by our panel, and they are free to read. Expert tips contain heavily researched betting selections to allow you to make your own decisions on whether you agree with the bets.

Who are your bet builder tipsters?

Our panel currently includes Ramis Ibrahim, DB Spots Trends and Grant Heaney, each of whom specialises in different competitions and market types. Andy Robson also produces regular bet builder content with a focus on the Premier League, SPFL and Champions League. All tipsters have their own author pages where you can read more about their background and approach.

How often are tips updated?

Tips are published throughout the week in line with the fixture schedule. Our busiest publishing days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday, when the majority of Premier League and EFL fixtures take place, with Champions League content published midweek.

What is the difference between a bet builder and an acca?

An accumulator combines selections from multiple different matches, whereas a bet builder combines multiple markets from the same single match.

How many legs should a bet builder have?

For most people, three to five legs is the sweet spot, as this allows you to boost the odds without taking on too much risk. Having too many legs means there is too much that can go wrong, while having only two legs often doesn’t seem worthwhile for a bet builder.

Can you cash out a bet builder?

Most bookmakers that offer bet builders also offer cash out on them, but it varies. Check the terms before placing if cash out is important to your strategy.

Do all bookmakers offer bet builders?

Most major UK bookmakers offer a bet builder feature, including bet365, Sky Bet, Paddy Power, Betfair and William Hill. The range of available markets varies between operators, so it is worth comparing platforms if you have a specific market or competition in mind.
