United captain Bruno Fernandes will be keen to lead by example for compatriot and new coach Ruben Amorim on Thursday evening and the 30-year-old, who has scored five goals in his last six appearances for club and country, is backed to threaten the Bodo/Glimt goal at least once at Old Trafford.

Fernandes has been averaging a healthy 2.77 shots per 90 in the Europa League this term and the attacking midfielder clocked a massive 20 efforts at goal across his last seven club appearances in all competitions. Bodo/Glimt have been conceding buckets of chances in the UEL Group Stage, so expect Bruno to have at least one clear sight of goal.

Bodo/Glimt have built up a solid seven-point haul after four Europa League Group Stage fixtures and keeper Nikita Haikin has been central to their early success in the competition.

The acrobatic Russian stopper has been making a sizable 5.75 saves per 90 minutes in the tournament so far, indeed, no other goalkeeper in the competition has made more saves in total than the 29-year-old.

Bodo/Glimt have been conceding more shots (19.75 per 90) than any other team in the expanded group phase and Haikin looks like top value in the 4+ saves bracket again at Old Trafford.

Manuel Ugarte was deployed as second half substitute in United’s 1-1 draw at Ipswich Town on Sunday, so there is a good chance that the Uruguayan will start against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday. If the 23-year-old is handed a starting role, back the midfielder to foul his Norwegian opponents at least twice.

The anchorman racked up a bone-bruising 14 fouls in his last five starts combined at club level and a target of two fouls looks a modest one for his serial offender.

Amad Diallo’s star is on the rise for Manchester United and the 22-year-old’s top performance as a wingback on Sunday showed that he has versatility to complement his quality. Diallo set up Marcus Rashford for the game’s opening goal at Portman Road and his marauding runs down the right flank also drew two fouls from frustrated Town defenders.

The Ivorian international has been fouled at least once in each of his last three appearances for United overall and his slight build and quick feet combine to make him a magnet for mistimed challenges from markers. Amad is a snip at 1.44 to draw at least one more foul on Thursday.

Jens Petter Hauge has been a top performer for Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League this season and the 25-year-old attacker showed a nose for the big occasion on matchday one when he scored two goals in the Norwegians’ stunning win over Portuguese giants, FC Porto.

Hauge has been averaging a solid 2.76 shots and 0.75 shots on target per 90 minutes in the Europa League this season and the forward could be a player to watch in the markets again on Thursday. With United still adjusting to Ruben Amorim’s new system, Hauge could have space to exploit and he is priced generously to land at least one shot on target at Old Trafford.

With Manchester United likely to post possession figures north of 60% on Thursday, Bodo/Glimt should have a hefty defensive load to plough through and a number of the Norwegians’ players could be excellent foul-market candidates in that scenario.

Hard-working forward Philip Zinckernagel falls into that category. The 29-year-old knows how to roll up his sleeves when required and the attacker has been averaging 1.38 tackles and 3.75 fouls per 90 minutes in the Europa League so far. Zinckernagel gave away a huge five free kicks in Bodo/Glimt’s loss to Qarabag on matchday four, so another two fouls at Old Trafford should be well within reach for this bristly character.

Alejandro Garnacho has become a shot-market staple for regular bet builder punters this season and the Argentinean’s tunnel vision in possession usually means he opts for a shot over a pass in most scenarios.

Garnacho has been averaging a searing 5.25 shots per 90 minutes in the Europa League this season and the 20-year-old’s total attempts tally of 13 in the competition is the highest of any player in United red.

The Argentinean winger has also found his range with at least two shots in two of his last four starts for United and he should have room to match that tally against a Bodo/Glimt defence that concedes too many chances.

Rasmus Hojlund has a habit of engaging in too many physical duels with his markers, though his skirmishes with centre-halves continue to be useful from a betting perspective and the Danish striker is backed to draw at least one foul for the sixth time in his last seven appearances for club and country.

Hojlund has been fouled at least once in three of his four runouts in the Europa League this season and on Thursday he will come up against a no-nonsense central-defensive pairing of Odin Lurås Bjørtuft and Villads Nielsen. Bodo/Glimt defenders Bjørtuft and Nielsen have been averaging 0.75 and 0.71 fouls per 90 in the UEL Group Stage and between them, they are likely to rough Rasmus up at least once.
