The Super Bowl champion Eagles host the New York Giants in an NFC East clash between two teams with vastly different records but also vastly differing vibes.

The Eagles are 5-2 but have experienced some rough losses recently, as well as unsettlement in the locker room. The Giants meanwhile are 2-5 but are trending upwards, with rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart bringing a renewed sense of optimism to the Big Apple.

4 Selections @ 4.18

Cam Skattebo 40+ Rushing Yards @ 1.30

The rookie fourth round pick has well and truly taken over the New York Giants backfield, even with fellow running back Tyrone Tracy returning from injury. Tracy has managed just 13 touches since his return two weeks ago, while Skattebo has managed 40 touches in that span. The rushing volume has certainly been there too as Skattebo is averaging 16 carries per game as a starter, and has topped 45 rushing yards in every game after week one, where Tracy got the start.

The Eagles rush defence has not been particularly intimidating this season, ranking 22nd in average rushing yards allowed per game at 127.9. They also gave up 98 yards and three touchdowns on the ground to Cam Skattebo when these teams met in week six, setting the rookie up for another big game here as he continues to build on the momentum and volume in this clash.

Jalen Hurts 175+ Passing Yards @ 1.33

A lot of the narratives around this Philadelphia Eagles team this year have surrounded the passing game, particularly AJ Brown. The Eagles started off the season continuing what had worked last year on the way to their Super Bowl win, but the struggling run game has forced Jalen Hurts to start throwing more in recent weeks. Hurts has gone over 280 passing yards in each of his last three games, after only reaching the 200-yard mark once in the first four games of the season.

I don’t expect that to change this week. The Giants have allowed the fourth most passing yards in the NFL this season and Hurts threw for 283 yards against them in week six. AJ Brown has also returned to form recently, notching 80 yards against the Giants last time out, while Saquon Barkley could only manage 58 rushing yards. The Eagles shouldn’t change what’s working, so I expect to see Hurts throwing a lot in this contest.

Jaxson Dart 25+ Rushing Yards @ 1.29

After taking over from veteran quarterback Russell Wilson in week four, Jaxson Dart has lifted the spirits of Giants fans with some stellar performances, despite a remarkably tough schedule. His hallmark has been his ability to extend drives with his legs, charting amongst the best scramblers at the position in the entire NFL, with 178 rushing yards in his last four games. The encouraging sign is that this also includes a number of designed rushes, so there’s no reason to expect a massive decline at any point.

Last time the Giants played the Eagles in week six, Dart notched 58 rushing yards on 13 attempts, and I expect that number to be high again in this matchup. The Eagles pass defence is a lot stronger than its rush defense, ranking fourth in the NFL in pass completion percentage allowed. As a result, we should see Dart relying on his legs again to extend drives and avoid this Eagles pass defence.

Cam Skattebo Anytime Touchdown @ 1.91

While there’s always excitement around rookies entering the league, none have been quite so exciting and viral on social media as Cam Skattebo. The fourth round pick has taken the league by storm, reinvigorating this New York Giants team alongside quarterback Jaxson Dart. Skattebo has registered six total touchdowns through his last six games, including three last time the Giants met the Eagles just two weeks ago.

The Eagles have given up nine rushing touchdowns this season, which is tied for the third most in the entire NFL. With superstar wide receiver Malik Nabers out for the season and few other big names on this offensive depth chart, the Giants have leaned heavily on the run. Skattebo saw 21 touches last time out against the Eagles and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him powering his way into the endzone again here this week.
