Rob Cross v Peter Wright Expert Tips & Predictions
A surprise loss to Martin Lukeman, who tops the group, means that Rob Cross must win this game to be sure of a spot in the next round. Meanwhile, Peter Wright, having lost both of his games in Group C, must win with a big margin and hope that Martin Lukeman beats Leonard Gates in the other game to have any chance of going through.
With Gates and Lukeman playing directly before this game, any chance of qualification could be gone for Snakebite by the time the first dart is thrown. Voltage looks likely to need a win regardless of the result in the other match, so he should be highly motivated here, and with leg difference a potential decider, he should be keen to put Wright away quickly.

Rob Cross v Peter Wright Best Bet
🎯 Rob Cross (-1.5 Leg Handicap)
📈 Odds: 1.83
For this bet to land we need Cross to win by a scoreline of 5-3 or greater.
Rob Cross still has work to do to be assured of a place in the knockout round of the Grand Slam of Darts ahead of his final Group C game with Peter Wright on Monday night. ‘Voltage’ kicked off his campaign with a 5-2 win over Leonard Gates but he was unable to build on that success when losing 5-3 to Martin Lukeman on Sunday. As for Peter Wright, he is almost certainly facing an early exit after losing each of his opening two group games.
With Cross the overwhelming favourite to heap more misery on Wright here, instead look to ‘Voltage’ to overcome a -1.5 handicap at 1.83. Cross comfortably cleared this proposed hurdle when getting the better of Gates on Saturday, and there is plenty of scope for him to repeat the trick against out-of-sorts ‘Snakebite’.
Wright has really struggled to find his best form this year, with his latest setback seeing him surrender a 3-1 lead to lose 5-4 to the aforementioned Gates. That body blow came fresh off the back of a 5-0 whitewash at the hands of Martin Lukeman on Saturday, so the Scotsman is likely to be in low spirits ahead of what is essentially a dead rubber for him.
In contrast, Cross is in must-win territory. He can also draw confidence from the fact that he has claimed top honours from five of the last seven meetings between the pair. It’s also worth noting that Voltage has emerged victorious by a two-leg margin or more in three of those five triumphs.
