The evening kick off on Saturday in the Premier League takes us to the South Coast where an impressive Brighton side host Manchester City in what should be an intriguing fixture. Brighton, as I predicted, are having a fantastic season and currently sit 4th in the table, just 2 points and one league position behind Man City ahead of this fixture. Should certainly be some lovely football on display with both sides encouraged to keep the ball on the floor by their respective managers. As is often now the case on my website I have put together my three favourite bet builder tips and predictions for the game at the Amex alongside my Cheat Sheet to assist you with your selections. Good Luck!
Brighton v Manchester City Bet Builder tips
Leandro Trossard to have 1+ Shot on Target v Man City
I really like the Belgian international and his switch into a more central role this season for Brighton has seen his influence grow even further. He is far more involved in all aspects of play which can be proven by the fact that Trossard is Brighton’s top player in terms of pressures (128) and successful pressures (44), touches in the opposition box (33), progressive passes and carries (75), dribbles (20, with four leading to shots), passes into penalty area (12), and shots taken (18). A player of his quality should not be on the periphery of things and Potter has realised that this season and moved his main man centrally.
His Cheat Sheet stats further support his increased importance this season in his more central and advanced position. He takes on more shots (2.76) than any other Brighton player with 0.79 landing on target. At odds of 1.83, he looks exceptional value to register a shot on target in this one.

Jack Grealish to have 1+ Shot on Target v Brighton
As you would expect, the value for a Manchester City player to have a shot on target is few and far between. Having scoured the prices and using my Cheat Sheet as well as additional research, Jack Grealish at 1.62 looks the best odds in this one. Firstly, City’s record signing is predicted to start and I expect him to get plenty of joy in the inside left position against Brightons rather leggy central defensive trio. The £100m man, while not quite in the form of his Villa days, is showing glimpses of his obvious quality and is clearly both trusted and rated by Pep Guardiola given the amount of minutes he has played since signing.
His Cheat Sheet stats are pretty impressive too with an average of 0.77 shots on target from the 1.85 shots he attempts. For me it is only a matter of time before Grealish absolutely explodes for City and the moments of class he shows become the norm on a consistent basis as they did at Villa.

Marc Cucurella to be Booked v Man City
I really like what I have seen so far from the Spaniard and he looks a man very keen to impress following his £16m summer move from Getafe. Potter has said he has had to tell Cucurella that it won’t always be this easy and that tougher tests are still to come and it doesn’t come much tougher than taking on the champions of England. The left wing back is very aggressive in the challenge and prior to this game has picked up two bookings in his last 3 Premier League outings.
He will start at left wing back and face-off against a combination of the interchanging Grealish, Sterling, Foden and Mahrez depending on what combination Guardiola chooses. Whoever he faces he is sure to be in for a tough task and given his habit of picking up bookings at a price of 4.5 I think he looks exceptional value to pick up another one against a City side stacked with quality.
