Viborg v AGF Aarhus
🏟
Sunday 6th November – 1:00PM KO
Second place Viborg take on big brother AGF in a Danish Superliga match between two clubs that are located less than an hour from each other.
Viborg are in the middle of a fantastic season so far. The Green and Whites are second in the Superliga, and they remain unbeaten at home. Their squad is filled with both quality and confidence, and this amazing combination should carry them far. Viborg have even managed to get better as the season has progressed, and especially offensively have they taken some big steps forward. They have two games in a row with an xG on above 1.7, and Viborg are able to hurt most Danish teams.
AGF have improved lately with five points in their last three Superliga games as well as a cup victory against AB as the cherry on top. However, the Aarhus side is still having a hard time creating chances, and too much depend on captain and top scorer Patrick Mortensen. He’s the main threat, and that makes AGF easy to shut down. AGF are also giving away too many chances with 1.67 xG in average against them in their previous three Superliga matches.
Viborg haven’t lost since they met West Ham in the Conference League qualification in August. Since then, they have played 11 games, and we expect that streak to continue. The pick of the game is Viborg to win draw no bet at odds 1.45 at Betfair.

FC Copenhagen v Lyngby
🏟
Sunday 6th November – 3:00PM KO
Following their exit from the Champions League, FC Copenhagen take on Lyngby in Parken. Going from the biggest stage of European football to meeting a team that is yet to win a game this season is quite the contrast, but Copenhagen knows the importance of the match.
FC Copenhagen have improved significantly since Jacob Neestrup took over as head coach. They managed three draws at home in the Champions League group stage against Man City, Dortmund and Sevilla, and they were even unlucky not to beat the latter two. The team from the capital played a stellar match against Dortmund earlier this week, and there is plenty to build upon. Copenhagen is back in the top six in the league, and they are now chasing FC Nordsjælland on the first place. Nothing but a victory is acceptable here after they last week beat third place Randers away.
With five points after 15 matches, Lyngby are almost certain of playing in the 2nd tier next season. They have 16 points up to survival, and considering they haven’t won yet, it is difficult seeing them closing this gap. Lyngby have lost their previous three matches, and for this match they’ll be without several profiles: Andreas Bjelland, Emil Nielsen, Kristian Riis and Alfred Finnbogason.
FC Copenhagen are rightly massive favourites at home, and nothing but three points is acceptable. There should be a big difference in the level between the two clubs, and we recommend betting on a home victory here.

OB v Brøndby
🏟
Sunday 6th November – 5:00PM KO
The match of the week in the Danish Superliga is top versus bottom as fourth place OB take on 10th place Brøndby.
Just like in the fairy tale from Odense’s proudest son, HC Andersen, the city’s football team’s season has transformed from an ugly duckling to a beautiful swan. OB started the season horribly, but they are now playing fantastic football and are fighting for European qualification. Head coach Andreas Alm has built a team that is strong defensively, and lethal in front of goal. They are undefeated in their previous seven Superliga matches, and during this streak they have defeated both FC Copenhagen and FC Midtjylland and drawn against Viborg and Silkeborg. The confidence is thus through the roof, and the home fans will have high expectations for this match.
Brøndby are also on a good run. They have played eight Superliga matches in a row without losing. Yet, there isn’t a lot of optimism in the western outskirts of Copenhagen. Five of these matches ended in draws, and the performances haven’t been good. Last weekend, Brøndby threw away a 2-0 lead at home against AaB and were lucky to win 3-2 after a goal in the stoppage time. Head coach Niels Frederiksen’s contract expires after this season, and it looks more and more like he’s a dead man walking as the club’s new owners haven’t committed or supported him since the takeover.
This should be a match rich in goals. Brøndby’s defence is terrible, while OB’s offense is great. Furthermore, four of the last five matches between these two teams have ended with more than 2.5 goals. We recommend betting on over 2.5 goals at odds 1.80 at Betfair.

Prediction: Over 2.5 Goals, 1.80 on Betfair (⭐⭐⭐⭐)
FC Midtjylland v FC Nordsjælland
🏟
Monday 7th November – 6:00PM KO
The 16th round of the Danish Superliga ends with arguably the most exciting match of the entire round as Midtjylland take on Nordsjælland Monday evening.
The hosts delivered a big result Thursday evening as they defeated Sturm Graz 2-0 in the Europa League and qualified for the knock out stage alongside Feyenoord. Domestically, things aren’t going as well for the Wolves though as they are still to find in the wrong half of the league. Last weekend, Midtjylland lost 2-1 at home to OB, and the Sturm Graz victory is the only win in their last four matches across all tournaments. This is thus a huge game for Midtjylland who went into this season as title favourites as they can pull a little closer to the top.
FC Nordsjælland are leading the Superliga, and they are, according to many pundits, the strongest team in the league right now. Although Nordsjælland is strongest in the attacking part of the game, they accomplished something remarkable in last weekend’s game. They defeated Horsens 2-0 and they didn’t allow the opponent a single shot on target in the entire game.
We expect an entertaining match between two sides that wants to attack. Only Silkeborg have scored more goals than FCM and FCN this season, so we should see some goals here. The recommendation is thus over 2.5 goals at odds 1.73 at Betfair.
