📔 Everton v Leeds Formation & Team News

Anton Stach picked up an injury in training, which caused him to miss out last weekend, and he is once again unlikely to play a role against Everton. In his place, Ilia Gruev should remain in the eleven alongside Ampadu and Brendan Aaronson.

Noah Okafor has formed a solid partnership with Calvert-Lewin up front, and the pair will hope to cause problems for the Toffees, with Gabriel Gudmunsson and Jayden Bogle looking to provide from the flanks.

David Moyes has a much longer list of unavailable players to contend with, as Grealish joins Carlos Alcaraz, Dewsbury-Hall, and Tim Iroegbunam in the treatment room. Ndiaye could feature out on the left for this one, with Dwight McNeil reintroduced to the starting eleven.

Jake O’Brien should partner James Tarkowski at centre back, with Nathan Patterson at right back. Jarrad Branthwaite also seems to be nearing full fitness, so he could make his first Premier League appearance of the season in the near future.

📈 Everton v Leeds Form & Tactics

Everton were just about able to hold on to a 1-0 victory at the weekend, which was an impressive three points against a high-flying Aston Villa side. It wasn’t the most convincing win, as the Toffees managed just nine shots worth 0.51 xG, while conceding 1.44 xG in return, but that broke a three-game winless run.

Everton have lacked consistency this season and have failed to win their last four home matches. Because of that, they currently sit tenth in the standings, with a record of nine wins, five draws, and eight losses in the league.

Leeds have been in much more convincing form, and most recently beat Fulham at Elland Road. Lukas Nmecha was the hero in that one, as his 91st-minute strike was the only goal of the game, sending the home crowd into jubilation. It was a deserved win for the hosts, as they managed 14 shots and five big chances worth 1.43 xG, conceding just eight shots worth 0.39 xG in return.

The Cottagers managed just one shot on target, highlighting how it was one-way traffic for the majority of the game. Prior to that, the Whites secured progression in the FA Cup by beating Derby 3-1, which was their first away victory since September.
