In sports betting there is no such thing as a guaranteed winner, but you can improve your chances of picking a winner by being smarter in the way you select your bets.
I built Andy’s Bet Club as a tool for you and I to select bets, and I’ve outlined a number of techniques and strategies below that can be used to help you bet smarter.
Please note, these are strategies and techniques that both myself and existing Andy’s Bet Club members use to pick our bets. They’re not the only way that you can use the information, and I would encourage you to also play about with the dashboard and find new ways to use the information provided to pick your bets.
The Bet Pack is set up so matches don’t expire until 2 hours after kick-off. This allows you to use the output for in-play betting, based on pre-match probabilities.
Betting on Goals In-Play
Identify a high probability match for Over 2.5 Goals or Over 1.5 Goals and if it’s still 0-0 after 20-30 minutes, consider an in-play bet on either 1.5 goals or 2.5 goals at greater odds than before KO.
Betting on Results In-Play
If you like in-play challenges then use the Bet Pack to do your own in-play goals challenge. £10 to £200 is 9 bets at average odds of 1.40. A match with a high probability for over 2.5 goals is likely very good for first half goal betting, also if it’s 1-0 after 30 minutes you’ll likely get between 1.30 and 1.50 for over 2.5 match goals.
In-Play Challenges
Match result betting is less risky when betting in-play. The simple reason for this is you can view match statistics to get an idea of how the match has started/how it’s going. Identify matches with a high probability for home win or away win, wait in-play and if still 0-0 at half-time you can view in-play statistics and if they look good, back the match result at greater odds than before kick off.
–
Three simple examples of how the Bet Pack can be used for in-play betting. Although the examples above are based on singles, you can also obviously apply the same strategies to multiples, especially at times when there are a lot of matches kicking off at the same time (e.g. 3pm on a Saturday).
Remember, the Bet Pack does not limit you to the markets on the Dashboard. There are a number of other markets that leverage off these markets. For example, ‘Double Chance’, ‘Draw no Bet’ and ‘Match Handicap’ can all be applied to Match Result. Using ‘Example 3’, if a high probability Home Win is losing 1-0 at HT you can consider backing ‘Draw no Bet’ or ‘Double Chance’ if in-play stats look good for a potential comeback.
I consider Andy’s Bet Club to be the ultimate betting tool for all types of bets, however it has proved to be most popular with members for building multiples and accumulators.
We all understand accumulators can be difficult to win. As odds accumulate the chance of the bet winning reduces. However, by having probabilities and bullet-point statistics for every selection, it gives us a greater chance of picking the right bet.
Don’t Chase Bigger Odds
How many times have you built an accumulator and thrown an extra 1 or 2 selections in to boost the odds? This is what bookies want you to do, instead identify 5-10 selections you like and group them into separate doubles and trebles around Evens (2.0).
Find Value
Let the bullet-point statistics guide you. Make sure you check stats for every match before finalising your bet. For example, you might find an opponent concedes a lot of goals when looking at a Home Win or Away Win selection. You can consider other markets like Handicap and Win & Over Goals.
Combine Markets
Combine markets on Andy’s Bet Club such as Win & BTTS, Win & Over Goals, BTTS & No Draw. Filter Home Win and Away Win, identify selections over 65% for Home Win or Away Win, then check to see if the same matches have a high probability for BTTS or Over 2.5 Goals.
MEGA Accumulator
Everyone loves a score in both halves MEGA accumulator. Filter high probability Home Win selections and read the bullet-point statistics to identify 4-5 high-scoring teams that are worth backing to ‘score in both halves’.
Choose Carefully
The bullet-point statistics are so important in picking the right bet. Sometimes a selection has a good probability but the stats don’t back it up as well as other selections. Carefully consider the available stats when deciding on a bet.
Alternative Markets
I never exclusively pick one market. Always allow for a variety and not just the markets available on the dashboard. For example, I often like Win & 1.5 if a selection has a high probability for Home Win/Away Win and Over Goals. Also, if a Home Win/Away Win selection is above 85% I consider backing -1 Handicap.
Pre-Match Challenge
I do my own pre-match challenges. I look for two Over 1.5 Goals selections and set filters to minimum odds of 1.20. Combining both is usually around 1.50 then starting on £10 you can reach £50 in 4 bets. This can be easily achieved on a Saturday or a Sunday when there’s plenty of matches. You can also apply this to in-play bets.
As most of you know, I’m no mathematician. However, after years of providing betting tips on social media and betting myself, I realised just how important it is to have a principally statistical approach to selecting bets.
Bookmakers price odds using statistical models and algorithms. The algorithm calculates a probability using thousands of data points, a margin is then applied, and the odds are displayed for punters to decide whether to back or not.
I contacted a number of data scientists, some of which have previously worked for bookmakers as odds compilers. The initial idea was to build a basic platform to help me pick bets in a more efficient and effective way.
However, once we got started and after testing the results I thought the website was too good to not make publicly available. Andy’s Bet Club combines my very own statistical model (built-in collaboration with a data scientist) with an easy-to-use dashboard to identify the best bets on any given day from 850 competitions globally.
What’s more, the algorithm also generates bullet-point statistics for every selection to give you context behind every probability.
Andy’s Bet Club won’t guarantee you make a profit gambling but it will improve your overall betting. It’s quick, it’s easy and it’s very effective in helping you bet smarter.
Gambling is meant to be fun and Andy’s Bet Club should not be used to bet any more than you normally would.
Andy’s Bet Club was created as a tool to supplement your existing betting habits, not encourage you to place more bets or stake more than you normally would.
Always make sure you gamble responsibly, never stake more than you can afford to lose on any bet, and never chase losses.
