I had two winning BB's on Premier League games last week

  • Aston Villa v Nottm Forest
  • Saturday

Forest have been a lot more aggressive in their approach this season under Glasner, and they have picked up at least two bookings in all four matches across all competitions. There were four cards in their game against Spurs last time out, and six yellows dished out against Liverpool before that.

Similarly, Villa saw a total of six yellow cards midweek, with three cards for and three against. With this being a clash between two struggling sides under pressure, tensions are likely to be raised and both managers will be desperate for the three points. Because of that, we could get a feisty affair.

Morgan Gibbs-White has started the campaign positively, contributing one goal and one assist from Forest’s opening three Premier League matches. He has accrued a total of seven shots in that time, which is the joint-most of any player in the Forest squad. He has been playing in a more advanced role under Glasner, while also keeping spot-kick duties, which makes this price stand out again.

Despite being on the receiving end of a 3-1 defeat in this fixture last season, Gibbs-White might still be looking forward to this fixture, given that he managed to find the back of the net. He had two shots in that game, and they both hit the target.

Boubacar Kamara will have an important role at the base of Villa’s midfield, especially with Joao Gomes serving the final game of his suspension this weekend. The Frenchman is composed under pressure, and he is usually the one looking to get on the ball to progress play. Because of that, he has been fouled six times in his five appearances this season.

Forest could start either Liam Delap or Igor Jesus up front, which means Kamara will be pressed intensely when Villa look to build from the back. Kamara had an average of 1.91 fouls drawn per 90 last season, despite his limited minutes as he suffered several injury setbacks.

It hasn’t been the best start to the Premier League season for Villa, who remain winless and yet to score after three matches. However, they opened their Champions League campaign with an encouraging 3-2 victory away to Club Brugge, registering 21 shots worth 3.22 xG - finally finding some confidence in the final third.

Villa also have an excellent record against Forest, particularly at home. They won this fixture 3-1 in the Premier League last season before recording an emphatic 4-0 victory when the sides met again at Villa Park in the Europa League semi finals. Oliver Glasner’s side remain winless this term, with two draws and a loss, so Villa will hope to capitalise on home turf.

George Hemmings has quickly established himself in Emery’s starting lineup, operating from the left during Villa’s recent matches against Hull and Club Brugge. He is currently keeping Alejandro Garnacho out of the starting eleven.

Although the 19-year-old is yet to receive a card this season, he has been involved in plenty of duels. In fact, Hemmings has committed multiple infringements in four of his five starts across all competitions this campaign, averaging 1.95 fouls per 90. He should be directly up against Neco Williams this weekend. The Forest wingback has drawn eight fouls in his four starts thie term, and he sees plenty of the ball, making this price for Hemming to commit a foul look excellent value.
