I think East Kilbride can take another step towards securing the Scottish League Two title by defeating Annan Athletic on Saturday afternoon. Mick Kennedy’s men remain one point clear at the top of the table after snatching a late equaliser in a 1-1 draw away at title rivals Spartans last weekend.
Back at their K-Park base this weekend, the league leaders will be targeting a fifth successive home win when they face an Annan team that are treading water in mid-table.
While the visitors have won three of their last four league matches, all three of those victories came on home soil. Away from home, however, Wullie Gibson’s side have come away empty-handed in each of their last four Scottish League Two road trips, including a heavy 4-0 defeat to Spartans. Another loss looks likely when they take on an East Kilbride side that ran out 4-2 winners when the pair last crossed paths in mid-February.
