Friday World Cup Card Double 🇮🇷🇺🇾 @ 13.50

After getting on the scoresheet against Cape Verde last time out, Agustin Canobbio looks set to start on the right wing again - it’s a massive game for Uruguay as they have drawn both games so far, and they cannot afford to lose here against Spain. The South American side should be fired up and aggressive from the start.

Canobbio has an average of 1.91 fouls per 90 playing for Fluminense this season, which shows how he looks to press intensely from the front, and often drop deeper to help out his full back. The 27-year-old has been carded six times in his 26 appearances across all competitions at club level. In addition to his goal against Cape Verde, Canobbio racked up four fouls and was lucky not to be booked. He managed eight fouls in two of Uruguay’s friendly matches prior to the World Cup, earning a booking in one of those.

There is very little to split the teams in Group G as we head into the final group stage fixture, as Belgium have drawn both matches so far. Egypt and Iran rank in the top two spots, so the winner of this game could top the group. With the stakes as high as they are, cards are a market to target.

Shoja Khalilzadeh is the centre back for Iran, and he has shown a willingness to fly into challenges. The 37-year-old was booked seven times in 18 appearances for his domestic club this season, and he was also booked in three out of six friendlies for Iran building up to the World Cup.

He will have to deal with the likes of Omar Marmoush and Mo Salah here, which promises to be a massive step up from the calibre of opponent he is used to facing.
