Grimsby are on the charge under David Artell, having won four of their last six games as we approach crunch time in League Two. The Mariners will be keen to avoid a repeat of last season, where they missed out on the top seven by two points. They are currently one position and one point outside the play-offs, but have two games in hand over the teams in 5th, 6th and 7th. Their underlying data has been strong for the majority of the season, sitting 2nd on expected points.
They host a Harrogate side who had picked up briefly following a January recruitment drive, but who have lost four of their last five games. Those four defeats all came against promotion-chasing sides, so there is plenty of recent evidence of Simon Weaver’s side being unable to compete with the better sides in the league.
