In probably the biggest fixture of the SPFL’s sparse Saturday schedule, Spartans and East Kilbride lock horns at the top of Scottish League Two. The two sides are in a direct battle for the title, with East Kilbride entering this crunch clash just one point ahead of Spartans.
There has been no shortage of goalmouth action in games involving the visitors this season, and they are unlikely to sacrifice their attacking principles in the capital on Saturday, making both teams to score an attractive option. BTTS would have been the right selection in 20 of East Kilbride’s 30 league matches this term, including a 2-1 defeat at this venue back in November. In fact, both teams have scored in three of the previous four meetings between the pair this season.
While Spartans haven’t been involved in quite as many BTTS games as their title rivals this season, two of their last three matches have seen both sides find the net, which further strengthens the case for a repeat on Saturday.
