While Everton look capable of avoiding defeat, a clean sheet may prove beyond them, which makes both teams to score worthy of support.

David Moyes may favour a safety-first approach, but Everton failed to keep the back door shut in 14 of their 19 Premier League away games last term, including their final day trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

While Spurs are still searching for their first Premier League goal of the season, they demonstrated their attacking capabilities in a recent 5-1 EFL Cup hammering of Charlton.

What’s more, Everton’s last two league games have ended in score draws, so another stalemate with both teams netting would hardly come as a major shock.

Everton can add to Tottenham’s early-season troubles by avoiding defeat in the capital on Saturday evening. 

Spurs stumbled over the line to safety last season and have carried those struggles into the new campaign, already losing to Brentford and Newcastle. 

Roberto De Zerbi’s side were also fortunate to leave Nottingham Forest with a point last weekend. 

As for Everton, they have been solid rather than spectacular under David Moyes, but they remain unbeaten after their opening three league games of the campaign.

The Toffees followed up an opening weekend victory over Crystal Palace with draws against Bournemouth and Manchester United.

Keeping Spurs quiet in the early stages could see the home crowd grow restless, which would give Everton every chance of leaving with at least a point.

I really like Merlin Rohl but it's quite clear that he's not a right back.

Everton failed to fill that position during the summer and it has left Moyes with little choice but to use the German at right back and I think that will be a natural area of the pitch for opposition sides to target.

Rohl struggled with Rashford and Shaw down his side against United last time out, committing two fouls and collecting a yellow card. He'll be up against Mathys Tel and Destiny Udogie here who are likely to cause him similar issues, combining to win four fouls already this campaign.

Dewsbury-Hall registered 4 shots against Manchester United last weekend, while he also found the net against Crystal Palace on the opening day.

He racked up a whopping 7 attempts during Everton’s EFL Cup victory over Preston last month and managed multiple shots in 3 of his final 8 Premier League appearances away from home last season.

Tottenham have conceded an average of 16.34 shots per game across their opening 3 league matches, further strengthening the case for Dewsbury-Hall to find the target.

I’m keen to back Sandro Tonali to be fouled at least twice when Tottenham host Everton. 

The all-action Italian has already drawn 4 fouls across his first three Premier League appearances for Spurs, with 2 of those coming against former club Newcastle in his most recent outing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

That continues a trend from last season, when Tonali averaged 1.48 fouls drawn per game for the Magpies in the top flight.

Tottenham should enjoy plenty of possession against David Moyes’ pragmatic Everton side, giving Tonali ample opportunity to get on the ball in midfield. 

Tonali is likely to operate in similar areas of the pitch to Harrison Armstrong, who has committed 6 fouls across Everton’s opening 3 league games. 

If passed fit, James Garner could also come up against the Italian. 

The Everton midfielder has been penalised 3 times in his last two outings, including twice away at Bournemouth.

I’m also backing the aforementioned Marmoush to commit at least one foul during this contest. 

The Egyptian has quickly shown a willingness to put opponents under pressure, committing 3 fouls in each of his first two Premier League appearances for Tottenham. 

Those numbers are not entirely surprising, with Marmoush having averaged 1.29 fouls per game for Manchester City in the top flight last term. 

Marmoush has been deployed through the middle for Spurs, which should bring him into direct contact with James Tarkowski. 

The Everton centre-half is particularly effective at drawing fouls, so Marmoush looks well placed to fall foul of the referee at least once.

The new Tottenham forward has yet to open his account for the club, but it has not been for a lack of trying. 

Marmoush has let fly 5 times across his first two appearances for Spurs, including 1 effort on-target against Newcastle.

The Egyptian ace averaged an impressive 3.87 shots per game in the Premier League last season, with 1.16 hitting the target, despite being restricted to a bit-part role at Man City.

He also produced 11 attempts across his 3 starts for Egypt at this summer’s World Cup, further highlighting his shoot-on-sight approach.

Everton are likely to sit deep and soak up pressure under David Moyes, so Marmoush should have opportunities to test the goalkeeper at least once.

James Tarkowski to be fouled at least once ties in nicely with the previous selection involving Omar Marmoush.

The experienced Everton defender is extremely adept at drawing contact and buying cheap free kicks, having been fouled 5 times across his opening three Premier League appearances this season.

That includes earning 3 fouls during the Toffees’ most recent away trip at Bournemouth.

Tarkowski also averaged 0.95 fouls drawn per game in the top flight last term, an eye-catching figure for a player operating at centre-half.

Marmoush is likely to press the Everton defender at every opportunity, making Tarkowski a solid option to win at least one free kick.

Facing Tyrique George should also give Pedro Porro every chance to commit at least one foul on Saturday evening. 

The Spaniard returned to his natural right-back role against Nottingham Forest last weekend and could find himself directly up against George at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Everton youngster has already given opposing full-backs plenty to think about this season, and Porro is certainly no stranger to catching the referee’s attention.

The Spaniard averaged 1.03 fouls per game and collected 10 yellow cards in the Premier League last term, while he overstepped the mark once during Tottenham’s home match against Newcastle.

Porro could also come up against foul magnet Jack Grealish, whether from the outset or off the bench, which adds further weight to this selection. 

Tyrique George looks well placed to be fouled at least once against Tottenham on Saturday evening.

Everton’s summer recruitment attracted plenty of criticism, but the permanent signing of George already looks like one of their smarter moves.

The 20-year-old produced an eye-catching performance against Manchester United last weekend, scoring a brilliant goal and giving Diogo Dalot a particularly difficult afternoon.

George was fouled 3 times during that contest, having also drawn 1 foul in Everton’s last top-flight away game at Bournemouth.

He could now find himself up against the tenacious Pedro Porro, who regularly commits fouls and collects cards, making George a prime candidate to draw at least one free kick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
