This is a really nice price for Betis to avoid defeat against Villarreal on Monday night, the home side are yet to win a game this season having drawn two and lost two of their opening four matches.

Villarreal have conceded eight goals across these games, notably conceding 2+ goals against two newly promoted sides already - suggesting that there are real defensive issues for Villarreal in the early stages of the season which can be exploited by Betis’ frontline.

Betis have only lost one of their last five matches, winning the other four games. They avoided defeat in both head to head meetings with Villarreal last season, earning a point through a 2-2 draw in this fixture last season. 

Daniel Farke’s side have avoided defeat in all three of their Premier League matches this season, only conceding two goals. 

They’ve only lost one of their last 12 Premier League matches and are one of the few sides in the division to have quite a bit of continuity from last season, keeping Daniel Farke and improving the squad in his 3-4-3 system.

Leeds were a hard side to beat at Elland Road last year, losing just five of their 19 games. 

Newcastle’s early form has also been quite positive, but their underlying numbers suggest that they’ve been a bit lucky so far - only Hull (-12) have a bigger positional difference based on their xG than Newcastle (-11).

Newcastle’s away form was also a real weakness last year, they only won four of their 19 matches on the road with 65% of their total points coming from their games at St James’ Park.
