Watford's misery to continue

Charlton have been far from electric. After a great start to their campaign, they have really struggled but they couldn’t pick a better fixture to get back on track and they have actually only lost one of their last five league games.

It’s all going pear shaped at Watford. The constant mismanagement from above, chopping and changing of managers and an underperforming squad have created a horrible atmosphere at Vicarage Road.

Watford have lost four on the spin, they come in to this off the back of 5-1 and 4-0 drubbings which have really spiked the panic stations at the club.

I expect Charlton to get something out of this.

With my expectation of Charlton to do well, it led to me to look at their danger men and Tyreece Campbell is the prime candidate.

He’s their top scorer with four goals so far this season. Campbell has averaged 0.76 shots on target per 90 minutes, which isn’t amazing, but against a porous Watford defence, I fancy him to get one.

Watford have shipped 10, 8, 7, 6 and 6 shots on target across their last five games and have conceded an average of 5.50 per 90 minutes this season.

Skipp has become a staple in Charlton’s midfield following his loan switch from Leicester City.

Although not the most glamorous footballer, Skipp’s desire to get on the ball and pop it around sets him up well to draw fouls.

He’s drawn an average of 1.21 fouls per 90 minutes for Charlton so far. He’s drawn one or more fouls in four of his six matches, drawing two or more in three of those.

Edo Kayembe will be one of Skipp’s direct opponents. He averages 1.53 fouls per 90 minutes and has committed the third most fouls in the Watford squad.

Kayembe and his partner Kyprianou are also two of Watford’s most fouled players and have combined for 2.11 fouls drawn per 90 minutes and attacking midfielder Iker Bravo has drawn 14 fouls (1.89/90), the most in the Watford squad.

So, Coventry looks like a good option for a foul. Regularly carded throughout his career, Coventry has averaged a hefty 1.85 fouls per 90 minutes and has fouled at least once in all of his Championship appearances this season.

His 17 fouls is also the second-highest in their squad.
