📈 AC Milan v Lecce Form & Tactics
AC Milan secured a much-needed victory at the weekend, as they had drawn their previous two games by a 1-1 scoreline. The Rossoneri were fortunate to keep their unbeaten run intact, given how they left it late to equalise in both of those matches. Nkunku was the hero with a 90th-minute equaliser against Fiorentina, while Rafael Leao leveled the scores against Genoa in the 92nd minute.
That means AC Milan have lost just one league game all season, taking points off most of the elite Italian sides. They managed to beat both Napoli and Inter Milan in the league, while coming away with a draw against Atalanta and Juventus.
It has been a complete contrast for Lecce, who were most recently picked apart by Inter Milan. They have also lost against Napoli and AC Milan (twice) this season, while the Giallorossi were very lucky to take a point from Juventus. They conceded 25 shots worth 2.77 xG in that game, but the Bianconeri were somehow only able to find the back of the net once. In return, Lecce registered six shots worth 0.26 xG, but came away with a 1-1 draw. They currently sit 17th in the league, just three points above the relegation zone.
📔 AC Milan v Lecce Formation & Team News
Lameck Banda and Yiber Ramadani will return from suspension for this clash after missing out midweek, and they should come straight back into the starting eleven. Gaspar will have to serve an additional two-game suspension, meaning Siebert should partner with Tiago Gabriel at the back for Lecce. Youssef Maleh was doubtful to feature midweek, but shook off any injury concerns and should partner Ramadani in the double pivot this weekend.
Christian Pulisic was an unused substitute against Como, so doesn’t seem to be operating at full fitness. Rafael Leao and Nkunku should feature up top together again, with Niclas Fullkrug available from the bench. Ruben Loftus-Cheek could come into the starting eleven here in place of Youssouf Fofana if Allegri opts for some rotation. After suffering a nasty head injury, Strahinja Pavlovic missed out midweek, meaning Fikayo Tomori could remain in the backline alongside Koni De Winter and Matteo Gabbia.
