Introduction
Ranked 66th in the world, this is their second appearance at the Euros. They defeated Romania and finished third in their group in 2016, commendably holding the hosts, France, until injury time. Unfortunately for them, they have a much tougher group this time around and face an uphill battle to make progression a realistic possibility.

🔮 Euro 2024 predictions
Tournament Prediction: Group Stage exit
You can back Albania to score 1 point in Group B @ 3.30 on Paddy Power.
It’s going to be very difficult for Albania to get out of this group, despite impressing in qualifying, as they face three sides of immense quality in quick succession. Their defensive solidity, shape, and relatively settled team means they will be well-drilled and could potentially frustrate their opponents. Croatia, for example, look potentially vulnerable.
However, if you think Albania are going to be absolute no-hopers you can back them to lose all three games at 2.60.
Albania Euro 2024 Qualifying Data
📖 How they qualified
Albania topped a group featuring Poland and the Czech Republic and did so by conceding just four goals in the process, while losing just once. Astonishingly, they didn’t concede a single goal in their four home games and conceded just four overall in their eight games. Defensive solidity was much needed, as they scored just 12 goals in in qualifying.
Group E was not a great watch for neutral observers with no side averaging more than 1.50 goals per game. They will need to lean on the defensive stability that served them so well in qualification, with Spain, Italy and Croatia all expected to enjoy the lion’s share of possession in their games against Albania.
👕 Players to watch
Armando Broja has had a frustrating season both at Chelsea and Fulham on loan. Injuries have hampered his playing time but nevertheless, he’s still an exceptional talent and one with time on his side at 22 years of age. As one of Albania’s most important players, he’ll play a key role in trying to get them out of this group stage.
A fellow member of the 22-year-old club, Kristjan Asllani, has been steadily growing in Serie A title-winning side, Inter Milan. With 30 appearances this season, his game has been developing rapidly. He’ll be key to the midfield scraps in the centre of the pitch and as his influence and responsibility within the group increases.
