14/1 Real Madrid v Bayern Munich Punt
💰 A £2.50 punt returns £37.83 for this bet.
🏆 Real Madrid to win
Real Madrid have an outstanding record at home this season, winning 18 of their 22 matches at the Bernabeu across all competitions.
The home side come into this game well rested, having rotated their team entirely at the weekend. Bayern, meanwhile, showed their defensive vulnerability as they conceded three against Stuttgart with a rearguard likely to closely mirror the one they use in this game, although Matthijs de Ligt may return from injury.
Los Blancos recorded 1.9 xG compared to Bayern’s 1.6 xG in the first leg, showing that even away from home they are capable of creating better scoring opportunities than their rivals.
There is no manager more experienced than Carlo Ancelotti in these situations. He is seeking to lead a team into his sixth Champions League final.
🚩 Bayern Munich corner match bet
Real Madrid have shown previously in the competition that they are happy to sit back and soak up pressure for periods during games, and consequently have given up more corners than they have won in four of their five Champions League matches in the knockout rounds.
Bayern Munich are the opposite of this. They like to play on the front foot and have won more corners than their rivals in four of their last five European matches.
The visitors came out on top last week in the corner count, winning six compared to Real Madrid’s five – and this was Los Blancos’ highest figure in the knockout stages.
🟨 Over 5.5 cards
Both of these clubs have seen at least two cards in each of their last three European matches while Real Madrid have seen at least a couple of yellows in each of their five games in the knockout rounds.
There is no suspension in the final for an accumulation of bookings, which could see a high number of tactical fouls in this game, particularly towards the end of 90 minutes.
Referee Szymon Marciniak has a high card count in European football this season. He has overseen five fixtures across the Champions League and Europa League, dishing out 31 cards.
18/1 Real Madrid v Bayern Munich Punt
💰 A £2.50 punt returns £48.48 for this bet.
⚽️ Over 3.5 goals
Bayern’s defence looked calamitous during the first leg when put under even moderate pressure. Likely to come under more scrutiny in this game and there is little evidence to suggest that they won’t buckle easily again, with none of their likely starting back four in good form.
Real Madrid’s Champions League fixtures have habitually been high scoring. Five of their 11 matches have produced four or more goals, including two of their last three.
This match could very easily become stretched with a goal. This will open up spaces and create opportunities for more goals. First leg showed that both teams are capable of exploiting such situations.
🛑 Harry Kane to commit 2+ fouls
Harry Kane is averaging a solid 1.2 fouls per 90 in the Champions League this season, but signs point to the England captain picking up more ahead of Wednesday’s clash at the Bernabeu.
Two of his five road trips in this competition this season, including three in the away leg of the quarter-final encounter against Arsenal, have seen the England captain give away exactly three fouls.
There is no issue if he picks up a yellow card in this game because there is no prospect of him being suspended for the final unless he is sent off. This means that he can be more physical than usual.
Kane will be expected to compete in a high number of duels and press defenders throughout this game.
🥅 Vinicius Junior to score anytime
The 23-year-old has five goals in the Champions League this season, which is the highest among Real Madrid players.
He has found the net in four of the eight different European matches he has played this term.
The Brazilian scored against Bundesliga opposition in the form of RB Leipzig in the last 16 and netted both his team’s goals in the first leg between these clubs.
A proven big-game player, having netted the winner in the final of the 2022 edition of the Champions League.
Vinicius also scored one and produced an assist in the recent 3-2 victory over Barcelona, highlighting his capability to turn it on when it matters most.
