Not only did he register an attempt on target in the first leg where Dortmund was completely stifled of chances, he scored twice against Barcelona in their earlier meeting, something he and the team will be desperate he replicates here.

Barcelona’s away-day indiscipline is well-documented, averaging 2.31 cards per match away from Camp Nou. Dortmund’s relentless tempo and ability to draw fouls at home has seen 10 of their last 13 visiting sides collect 2+ cards.

With Dortmund expected to unleash pace in wide areas, Koundé could be faced with stopping either Jamie Bynoe-Gittens (1.71 fouls won per 90) or Karim Adeyemi (1.05).
