Nottingham Forest have very little to play for on the final day, which they will be grateful given how their campaign has been quite turbulent this season. Vitor Pereira led them on an eight-game unbeaten run starting in March, which lifted them well clear of the relegation zone. However, since their safety has been confirmed, Forest have taken their foot off the gas, and they recently had their unbeaten streak ended by Man United. While Vitor Pereira will want a positive conclusion to the season, the incentive simply does not match Bournemouth's.

The Cherries have played with intent recently, and they are one of the most in-form sides in the division at the moment, unbeaten in 17 league games in a row. They held on to a 1-1 draw against Man City last time out, and they have won four of their last six matches.

The 3-2 scoreline against Man United last time out massively flattered Forest, as the hosts had plenty of chances at Old Trafford. Michael Carrick’s men recorded 29 shots and seven big chances worth 4.57 xG - Matz Sels made five crucial saves to keep the scoreline respectable. However, Forest also had chances themselves, and another high-scoring encounter is expected if Forest decide to completely release the handbrake again. Over 2.5 goals has landed in five of Forest’s last seven league games, and the two misses in that stretch finished 1-1. 

Bournemouth have also been an entertaining side to watch this season, and this selection has landed in five of their last seven as well. With 57 goals scored and 53 conceded in their 37 league matches this term, the Cherries are averaging 2.97 goals per game which is one of the highest in the division.

Marcus Tavernier blanked against Man City last time out, recording zero shots for the first time since October. However, that was a tough matchup against Pep Guardiola’s men who were still fighting for the title. Bournemouth should have much more success when it comes to generating chances against Forest, especially considering how they played last weekend, so Tavernier should have a much greater involvement. 

The 27-year-old is averaging 2.26 shots per 90 across all competitions this season, and his away record is impressive. Tavernier has landed this selection in seven of his last nine starts on the road, failing only against Arsenal at the Emirates, and Chelsea at Stamford Bridge - again, two tough matchups. In the reverse fixture at the Vitality Stadium, Tavernier had four shots against Forest, of which two hit the target, and he even managed to find the back of the net.

Elliot Anderson recorded two assists against Man United last time out in the 3-2 defeat, but he also committed two fouls and was carded in that same match. The Englishman is central to almost everything which Forest do at both ends of the field. The midfielder is tasked with covering a lot of ground for his side, and he should have plenty of defensive work to get through against Bournemouth here. 

Anderson is averaging 1.67 fouls per 90 across all competitions this season, and he has landed this selection in seven of his last eight starts. Anderson ranks third of all Premier League players for total fouls committed this season, and he should have a tough time trying to contain the likes of Tavernier, Eli Kroupi and Rayan this weekend. Anderson should also find duels against Alex Scott in midfield, and he is averaging 1.85 fouls drawn per 90 across all competitions this season.

Nicolas Dominguez hasn’t quite been as combative in midfield for Forest, but he is still averaging 1.4 fouls per 90 across all competitions. He was recently shown a yellow card against Sunderland, despite only featuring for the second half in that game, which was his fifth booking of the season. 

The Argentine international has been fortunate to escape on a few occasions this term, and he had 11 yellow cards to his name in the previous campaign. Dominguez tends to be aggressive in his challenges looking to break up play in central areas, and he will look to support Anderson this weekend. 

Bournemouth have forced nine cards from their opponents in the last three games - with eight yellows and one red. Rodri was booked against the Cherries last time out, and another holding midfielder Sasa Lukic was shown a card in the game before that.

Bournemouth head into the final day of the season still fighting for a European finish - one point will be enough for them to lock in a Europa League spot, while a Champions League finish is also not yet off the cards, but they need results elsewhere to go their way. Still, the Cherries should be front-footed in their approach as they hope to extend their unbeaten run to 18 matches. 

Eli Kroupi has been integral to that streak, and he scored the only goal for his side in a 1-1 draw against Man City last time out. That means he has now scored in five of his last seven appearances, taking his tally to 13 goals for the season. The 19-year-old has been impressive for the Cherries, and has scored in some tough fixtures. Forest have conceded eight goals in their last three games alone, making this a great matchup to target Kroupi.

Neco Williams has been operating on his less natural right side in recent weeks following Ola Aina's injury, but the Welshman has continued to pick up promising attacking positions. He is averaging 1.28 shots per 90 across all competitions this season, and that figure rises to 1.46 when playing at home. He has recorded at least one shot in each of his last nine matches at the City Ground, and Williams has landed this selection in five of those games. He hasn’t been particularly accurate with his efforts, but the volume has been there. In that stretch, Williams recorded four shots against Aston Villa, and seven against Wolves. 

The fullback had three shots in the reverse fixture against Bournemouth earlier in the season, with one of those hitting the target, and Forest should look to commit bodies forward into their attacks this weekend.
