Diakite has shown promise when lining up at centre back for Bournemouth this season, which was always going to be a tough task with the Cherries losing three of their back four - and their keeper - over the summer.

Brentford love to be direct into their forward players with Keith Andrews’ side playing over 20 successful long balls per game. This should fit in nicely with Bournemouth’s pressing approach which is baked into Iraola’s system, to produce a few scenarios where Diakite has to commit a foul.
