1️⃣ Triumph Hurdle (13:30)
🏇 Bunting E/W
📊
Hit Rate: Placed (top 3) in 50% of races
Getting our Racing Hit Rates action underway for day four, first up we have BUNTING, who has finished in the top three in 50% of his starts.
A four-year-old with three races to his name, with one coming on the flat in France, he has made an impressive start to his hurdling career. Winning his sole race in France on the flat when cruising to a seven-length victory over 1m2f, this flat speed will come in handy in the latter stages of his hurdles races. Winning his hurdles debut at Limerick over 2m in December, he dominated the field, winning by eight lengths after hardly being asked for an effort. Tasked with another 2m event at Leopardstown, he was staying on well when closing on the leaders to finish fourth. Racing over a slightly longer trip here today will suit him and he holds solid each-way claims here today.
2️⃣ County Handicap Hurdle (14:10)
🏇 Zenta E/W
📊
Hit Rate: Placed (top 3) in 100% of races
Next up in our free Hit Rate tips for Cheltenham, we have ZENTA, who has finished inside the top three in 100% of her races.
Hitting the ground running after making the switch to Willie Mullins’ yard in January last year, she backed up her first French hurdles win at Auteuil with a win on stable debut at Fairyhouse. Tasked with a Cheltenham festival entry in the Triumph last year, she didn’t disappoint. Making the placings and finishing a respectable third, she only narrowly got pipped for second close to home. Bagging another win in April at Aintree, her latest run came at Leopardstown last month in preparation for today. Making the placings and finishing third in a 21-runner field, the ground conditions were very similar to today’s event and puts this unexposed mare in good stead coming into today.
3️⃣ Albert Bartlett Novices’ Hurdle (14:50)
🏇 High Class Hero E/W
📊
Hit Rate: Placed (top 3) in 100% of races
Next up in our free Hit Rate tips for Cheltenham, we have HIGH CLASS HERO, who has placed in the top three in 100% of his races.
A top-class performer who has won all five of his career starts for Willie Mullins, with four of those wins coming over hurdles. Although he has won all of his starts and landed the majority with wide margin victories, he hasn’t jumped fluently in any of those performances and has made mistakes in all of his starts. It is unknown what his full potential could be in a mistake-free race and after a two-month break, he is hoping to have rectified his jumping issues and could cause a few issues in this race today for the market leaders.
4️⃣ Gold Cup (15:30)
🏇 Gerri Colombe E/W
📊
Hit Rate: Placed (top 3) in 100% of races
Up next, we have the Gold Cup, in which we have GERRI COLOMBE, who has placed in the top three in 100% of his races.
Dominating across his entire career, Gerri Colombe has won nine of his 11 races, finishing second in both of his defeats. Gradually increasing the distance in which he has been racing over, starting at 2m4f and building up to 3m in his last four races, a step up to 3m2f here today will be welcomed. Closing with every stride at the festival last year when finishing second by a short head in the Brown Advisory, the further trip today looks to be just what he needs. After losing to Galopin Des Champs last time out at Leopardstown, he is back to take him on again today and holds solid each-way claims at his price.
5️⃣ Hunters’ Chase (16:10)
🏇 Billaway E/W
📊
Hit Rate: Placed (top 3) in 83% of races
Next up in our free Hit Rate tips for Cheltenham, we have BILLAWAY, who has placed in the top three in 83% of his races.
Billaway is a veteran who is always there or thereabouts in his races, with a never-say-die attitude. With two second places and a win to his name in this event, he is a 12-year-old who is still producing top quality performances. An extremely consistent runner throughout his entire career, he has made the placings in 20 of his 24 starts, picking up nine wins in the process and still showing signs he has what it takes to win this race today. Likely to settle in at the rear of the field and a sort who gets an impressive second wind in the latter parts of the race, which has proved crucial in his time when flying up the Cheltenham hill late on. One to watch at an appealing price.
6️⃣ Mares’ Chase (16:50)
🏇 Instit E/W
📊
Hit Rate: Placed (top 3) in 81% of races
Next up in our free Hit Rate tips for Cheltenham, we have INSTIT, who has placed in the top three in 81% of her races.
Outsider of the field here today, but is by all means not ruled out of this race. Boasting an impressive place rate throughout her career, she is not here just to make up the numbers. She has two wins to her name, both of which came at Fairyhouse last year in dominant victories. Cruising to a 15-length victory on her first win and following this up with a 9 ½ length victory over stablemate and today’s rival, Allegorie De Vassy, she has every chance of competing in this race today and holds solid each-way claims at her price.
7️⃣ Martin Pipe Handicap Hurdle (17:30)
🏇 Answer to Kayf E/W
📊
Hit Rate: Placed (top 3) in 83% of races
Last but not least and rounding up the Cheltenham Festival, we have ANSWER TO KAYF, who has placed in the top three in 83% of his races.
A lightly raced eight-year-old who hasn’t reached his full potential yet. Only seen racing over hurdles five times in his career, he is improving steadily and racing in his handicap debut here today, he holds solid claims. Answer To Kayf has finished a close second behind today’s favourite Waterford Whispers at Fairyhouse, which puts him in good stead heading into today, looking to change those placings. Returning a 25/1 win in a maiden hurdle at Limerick in October and a 2m3f victory last time out at Naas, he is putting together some impressive form at the right time.
