Sunday's Premier League Streaks Bet Builder Tips

Fixtures for: Sunday 18th May

Everton v Southampton

11:00

Southampton to have 3+ Shots on Target

Everton have conceded 5+ shots on target in each of their last five Premier League outings. Southampton have shown some rare resilience in recent weeks despite only being on 12 points and confirmed as relegated from the Premier League - the biggest example of this being their 0-0 draw with Manchester City last time out.

Everton are actually one of the two teams that Southampton have beaten in the Premier League this season, claiming a 1-0 win over the Toffees at St Mary’s when the men in the dugout were Sean Dyche and Russell Martin. The Saints had two shots on target on that occasion, but can raise that line slightly here against an Everton side that has just dwindled a bit defensively in recent weeks, coinciding with an injury to James Tarkowski.

Southampton are averaging exactly 3.0 shots on target per game in the Premier League this season so we’re looking for them to meet their average performance in attacking areas here. Everton’s recent tendency to offer chances to the opposition should continue here with David Moyes’ side conceding five shots on target against another relegated side in Ipswich recently.

West Ham v Nottingham Forest

13:15

Over 0.5 West Ham Goals

Forest’s push for a spot in the Champions League next season has been a little lacklustre. Injuries and fatigue have caught up with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side in recent months which has contributed to their flailing defensive record. Nottingham Forest have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last seven games across all competitions.

West Ham haven’t had a much better time over recent months, with the Hammers’ only barrier to the relegation spots being the Europa League finalists. Their 2-0 win against Manchester United last time out ended a run of eight games without a win in the Premier League. However, Graham Potter’s side have managed to find the back of the net in each of their last six games, which would suggest a more longstanding improvement, even if the results haven't quite followed.

West Ham failed to score in the initial meeting between these sides at the City Ground, but they were reduced to 10 men for more than half of the encounter after Edson Alvarez’s first half sending off. West Ham should be able to continue their recent run of finding the back of the net against a side that hasn’t maintained the same defensive resolve which they displayed earlier in the season.

Arsenal v Newcastle

15:30

Both Teams to Score

This is arguably the most important fixture of the weekend in the battle for a spot in the Champions League next season. Arsenal will feel like they are all but qualified but will need at least a point across the next two games against Newcastle and Southampton to cement their spot at Europe’s top table next season - a highly likely outcome. Both Newcastle and Arsenal have scored in each of their last five Premier League matches.

Arsenal’s domestic form has taken a hit ever since they got to the serious stage of the Champions League. The Gunners are without a win in six Premier League matches, seeing BTTS in five of these games, with the exception coming against an already-relegated Ipswich side. This decline at the end of the campaign has allowed the chasing pack to catch up, to the point where Newcastle are only two points behind Mikel Arteta’s side.

Newcastle have found the back of the net in each of their 11 games across all competitions. Eddie Howe has orchestrated a more positive end to the season for the Magpies when compared to the Gunners - Newcastle have only lost two of their games in this 11-game sequence.
