Slovan Bratislava have conceded nine goals in their two Champions League games so far – only Dinamo Zagreb have conceded more.
That includes shipping five goals at Celtic Park. They conceded 16 shots and nine big chances, totaling 3.79 xG.

In the proceeding game against Man City at home, Slovan were defeated 4-0. Again, the Slovakian side leaked chances, conceding 3.72 xG from 28 shots, and eight big chances.

Although Girona find themselves in a bit of a rut of poor form, this is an ideal opportunity to take advantage of an extremely poor Slovan defence, particularly in front of a home crowd.

Girona will need to utilise this opportunity to register their first points in the Champions League, pushing for the playoff spots.

With Victor Tsygankov ruled out with a thigh injury and Bryan Gil doubtful, Arnaut Danjuma is expected to shoulder a large attacking responsibility in this game.

He started the previous game in a more advanced attacking role on the left wing, able to invert into central positions as Miguel Gutierrez was able to hold width.

Because of that, Danjuma often found himself in the left half-space, an ideal position for shots. In that game, he managed two shots on target.

Being right-footed as well, the angles were favourable for Danjuma to shoot – he should operate in a similar zone on Tuesday.

Given that Danjuma now faces one of the poorest defences in Europe, he is one to target in the attacking third.

Slovan goalkeeper Dominik Takac has made 17 saves across the two European games, which is the most of any keeper in the Champions League so far.

He made seven saves at Celtic Park in round one of the Champions League, before a massive ten saves against Man City at home.
Considering he has also conceded nine goals on top of that, highlights how leaky the Slovan defence has been, and that trend seems set to persist against Girona.

The Spanish side have drawn at least three saves from the opposition goalkeeper in each of their last four games.

Last time out in the Champions League at home, Girona lost 3-2 to Feyenoord. In that game, Feyenoord keeper Timon Wellenreuther made four saves.

Ivan Martin has made a foul in six of his last seven games for Girona, operating in a defensive midfield role alongside Yangel Herrera. He has played the full 90 minutes in each of his last five, a testament to his importance under manager Miguel.

Slovan Bratislava are a fantastic matchup for drawing fouls, given that they were fouled 23 times in their most recent game against Spartak Trnava in the Fortuna Liga.

Tigran Barseghyan, Kyriakos Savvidis and Artur Gajdos drew a combined 12 fouls, and should feature in a similar zone of the field to Ivan Martin.

Slovan drew just eight fouls from Man City in a tough matchup, but they were fouled 16 times against Celtic in their other European match.
