🔴 Macaulay Langstaff to Win the Golden Boot (Salford)
  • League Two
  • 12:30
1 Selection @ 3.50

Macaulay Langstaff to Win the Golden Boot

A market may appear soon - Top Goalscorer Without Macaulay Langstaff - that’s how well fancied he is this season and with good reason.

It’s a painfully short price to tip on a top goalscorer bet, but it’s justified.

Langstaff won the golden boot in his last season in League Two, 2023/24, with 28 goals, giving him a four-goal cushion on 2nd place. That was in a Notts County side that finished 14th; he’s now playing for the clear title favourites.

He famously scored 42 league goals in a National League season without taking any penalties!

He has since taken some, and scored 4/4.

A double with Salford promotion and Langstaff top goalscorer would appeal if towards 10/1, but he’s a bet just in this market anyway, and the price will likely shorten even more before the season kicks off.

🔴 Ollie Pearce to Win the Golden Boot (York)
  • League Two
  • 12:30
1 Selection @ 13.00

Ollie Pearce to Win the Golden Boot

The non-league bagsman finally gets a crack at League Two, following in the footsteps of Michael Cheek, who won the golden boot in 2024/25 after stepping up with Bromley.

Pearce, 30, has never played in the EFL, and he’s scored 68 goals in 99 games for York City in just two seasons since joining. If he carries on at that rate across 46 League Two games next season, he’d score 31 goals.

He was the National League top goalscorer by seven clear goals last season and will likely be on penalties for York.

York are respected by the market, joint-4th favourites for the title, so they should be creating plenty of chances for Pearce to transition into professional league football with a bang.

🟠 Kabongo Tshimanga to Win the Golden Boot (Barnet)
  • League Two
  • 12:30
1 Selection @ 13.00

Kabongo Tshimanga to Win the Golden Boot

Tshimanga came joint-3rd in this exact market last season, securing an each-way payout.

He scored four goals for Crawley and 12 for Barnet last season, demonstrating how he is more suited to playing in a team that create more chances.

He scored 3/3 penalties for Barnet last term and should keep that responsibility.

The Bees generated the 3rd-highest xG in the league last season, and we can expect Tshimanga to be on the end of a decent share of goalscoring opportunities this season.

Barnet are highly-rated by the bookies, 3rd-favourites for the title, with only big-spending Salford and Steve Evans-led Bristol Rovers ahead of them.

Tshimanga would be a lot shorter if it wasn’t for Langstaff being so short at the top of the market. Langstaff could still get injured; if he’s out for an extended period, 12/1 on Tshimanga is going to look like a very shrewd bet.

🔵 Fabrizio Cavegn to Win the Golden Boot (Bristol Rovers)
  • League Two
  • 12:30
1 Selection @ 26.00

Fabrizio Cavegn to Win the Golden Boot

All things considered, Cavegn had an excellent first season in English football, making the difficult transition to League Two from Liechtenstein’s top flight.

He scored 11 league goals in a very disappointing season for Rovers, who finished 14th when they’d have been aiming for automatic promotion this time last year.

They’ll be doing so again this time around, but with a proven manager in Steve Evans in the dugout, and they proved their credentials with an eight-game winning streak at the back end of 2025/26.

2nd-favourites for the title and their biggest attacking threat is 25/1 for top goalscorer, I’ll have some of that.

🔴 Daniel Udoh to Win the Golden Boot (Salford City)
  • League Two
  • 12:30
1 Selection @ 67.00

Daniel Udoh to Win the Golden Boot

The Langstaff contingency bet.

Salford were towards the top of the market for League Two; even before signing Langstaff, they were last season’s losing play-off finalists and only three teams generated a higher xG than them in 25/26.

Their top scorer last season, only including goals scored for Salford, was Daniel Udoh. If Langstaff hadn’t signed, Udoh’s price would be way, way shorter, and he’s threatened to explode in front of goal in previous seasons.

He hit double figures twice in League One for a lacklustre Shrewsbury side, posted 0.29 goals per 90 in his first season at Salford last term and would be in the mix to take on penalty duties if Langstaff was out of the side.

A few firms have Udoh at 33/1, so this is a chance to take double the odds, a 100% boost if you like. It’s worth a small stake as a saver; that’d come in very handy if Langstaff has a lengthy absence.

🔵 Elliott Nevitt to Win the Golden Boot (Oldham)
  • League Two
  • 12:30
1 Selection @ 151.00

Elliott Nevitt to Win the Golden Boot

There are reasons that Nevitt is out at this price, but he’s moved to an Oldham side who’ll create more chances for him, and he did score 16 goals in League Two in 2023/24.

Nevitt is vastly experienced in League Two, now aged 29, and has made the switch from Gillingham to Oldham.

With serial-promotion winner Micky Mellon at the helm, Oldham will be targeting at least a top seven finish and only four chances generating more xG than them in League Two last season.

We’re getting four places with these each-way terms and at 150/1, Nevitt doesn’t need to win the golden boot for significant returns.

If it clicks for Oldham, they’re 2.75 for the top seven at the time of writing; then Nevitt will get opportunities to profit, playing with an upgraded chance creation department compared to what he’s been used to in the last couple of seasons.
