🟨 Mohamed Salah to score anytime 🔄️
The sight of Mohamed Salah engaged in a verbal altercation with Jurgen Klopp made for distressing viewing for Liverpool fans, however, the Egyptian has reaffirmed his commitment to the club since and the prolific 31-year-old will be keen to make a positive impact against Spurs on Sunday. Salah has scored eight previous Premier League career goals against the Londoners and he could punish them again this weekend.
Salah is currently on course to finish with his lowest tally for a league campaign since joining the club in 2017, though he remains their leading marksman this term with 17 goals, five of which have been converted from the penalty spot. 70.5% of Salah’s 17 Premier League goals have also been scored in fixtures at Anfield and the attacker could produce the goods in front of The Kop again on Sunday.
🛑 Richarlison to commit 2+ fouls
Richarlison was listed among the ten Tottenham players to commit a foul in Thursday’s loss to Chelsea and the 26-year-old’s competitive streak has been evident right across the campaign for Spurs. Indeed, Richarlison has been committing 1.20 fouls per 90 for Tottenham overall this term.
The combative forward has also given at least two fouls away on five different occasions in the Premier League this season, though his highest foul count was clocked when Tottenham last faced Liverpool in September. Richarlison committed three fouls on that afternoon and as a former Everton man, the attacker seemed to put more spice into challenges against the Reds. That heightened aggression could be on show again when Richarlison returns to Merseyside on Sunday.
🎯 Luis Diaz to have 2+ shots on target
Colombian international Luis Diaz was denied a perfectly good goal against Tottenham in September by a major VAR faff and the South American will be determined to right a few wrongs against the same opponents on Sunday. Diaz hit two shots on target in his last Premier League outing against West Ham and the 27-year-old registered two or more accurate efforts in three of his last seven appearances in the division overall.
Of the seven games in which Diaz has mustered at least two shots on target in the league this season, five were played at Anfield and the former Porto star tends to do most of his best work in home matches for Liverpool. Expect Diaz to be heavily involved again on Sunday.
24/1 Liverpool v Tottenham Punt
🟨 Wataru Endo to be shown a card 🔄️
Bustling Japanese midfielder Wataru Endo has become a permanent fixture in the middle for Liverpool in the second half of the campaign and the 31-year-old has been happy to break up play by any means necessary for Jurgen Klopp. Endo has been fouling at a whopping rate of 2.70 times per 90 in the Premier League this term and his card count for the season has been climbing accordingly.
Despite starting just 17 times in the Premier League since August, Endo has already collected nine yellow cards, the latest of which was picked up in Liverpool’s last game against West Ham. Endo should have a decent wedge of defensive work to sift through on Sunday against a fast-breaking Spurs outfit and his chances of seeing yellow for a tenth time feel high.
🎯 Andy Robertson to have 1+ shots on target 🔄️
Robertson seems to have left his injury issues behind him and he has been marauding forward with the kind of freshness you’d expect from a player that has just 16 Premier League starts under his belt this season. Robertson registered six shots at goal across his last six appearances in the top tier and the 30-year-old found the net with one of those efforts against West Ham last week.
In total, the flying full back managed to hit three shots on target in Liverpool’s last two matches against West Ham and Everton, while Robertson also rampaged forward with menace and had a strike on target when the Reds lost to Tottenham in September. With his recent output in the final third on the rise, Robertson is an attractive option in the 1+ shots on target market again on Sunday.
🛑 Alexis Mac Allister to commit 1+ fouls 🔄️
Alexis Mac Allister has been a steely presence in midfield for Liverpool this season and the former Brighton playmaker has been committing 1.90 fouls per 90 minutes during his maiden campaign with the Reds. The 25-year-old gave away four free kicks in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw at West Ham last week and that was the 14th time this season that Mac Allister has sinned at least twice in the Premier League.
In the reverse fixture between Liverpool and Tottenham in September, Mac Allister also stuck his boot in with vigour, committing three fouls against Spurs and picking up a first half yellow card. Mac Allister has fouled in 24 of his 30 appearances in the league this season overall, and he should be good for at least one more at Anfield on Sunday.
