Mbeumo reminds me of Salah, in the sense that he doesn’t have to be involved in the game to come up with a goal contribution at the crucial moment, which is a trait that can aid him in finding the target here.

Who would have predicted this Casemiro comeback? It seemed like his career at Man United, and at the top level in general, was over after intense criticism for his fitness and attitude last season. Just by looking at Casemiro, you can see that his fitness levels have improved this term, and he now sits as a key cog in the Man United midfield, alongside Bruno Fernandes.

Casemiro has won seven fouls across his 10 Premier League appearances this season (1.02 per 90). This, in isolation, doesn't standout much, but when paired with his potential opponent here, it looks to be a generously priced angle. Casemiro is likely to be faced up by Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who has been quite aggressive this season in his role just behind the striker, committing 14 fouls across his 10 appearances (1.42 per 90).

Dewsbury-Hall is joined by Idrissa Gueye (0.76 fouls committed per 90) and Tim Iroegbunam (1.58 fouls committed per 90), creating a walking minefield for Casemiro to progress through at Old Trafford. United’s summer additions have led to an increase in the number of fouls they win this term - the Red Devils have won 124 fouls across their 11 Premier League matches this campaign (11.2 per game).

Senne Lammens is the first Man United goalkeeper since David De Gea that actually fills you with some confidence that he can be a reliable shot stopper and calming presence for a backline, which has had to contend with the theatrics of Andre Onana over recent campaigns.

Lammens is quite imposing, even for a young goalkeeper, and has already eased United fans’ concerns about the sides’ weakness from set piece situations, with his commanding box presence. He’s a great shot stopper as well, and has been forced into making 14 saves across his five Premier League appearances this season (2.80 per game).

Lammens has been forced into making 2+ saves in four of his five matches, with the exception of United’s 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.

My main predication about Man United before the season started was that they would become a much more exciting team to track this term, and that has been the case so far. United have seen 37 goals across their 11 Premier League matches this term (19 scored, 18 conceded - 3.36 per game).

They have seen 2+ goals in 10 of these matches, with the exception of their 1-0 defeat to Arsenal, right at the start of the campaign. United registered an xG of 1.52 from 22 shots on that occasion.

United rank fourth for expected goals (18.4), third for shots on target per game (5.10) and have only been outscored by the top three sides in the division. Everton have marginally improved as an attacking force this season, too, though there is more expectation amongst the Everton fan base now that the Toffees aren’t stuck fighting relegation.

Everton’s five away matches have produced 13 goals (2.6 per game) and they can be dragged into a high scoring affair by a United side that look much more comfortable in the final third.

Bruno Fernandes may be playing in a slightly deeper role this season, but this hasn’t really impacted how important he is for United in the final third. He’s registered five goal contributions across his 11 Premier League appearances this season (two goals, three assists).

Fernandes should have a few more goals to his name when looking at his xG numbers. He’s registered an xG of 4.72 from 25 shots in the Premier League (2.29 per 90), once again highlighting how he's still involved in the final third - his chance creation also inevitably benefits from the additions that United have made to their frontline.

Fernandes, unsurprisingly, leads the United squad for chances created (29 - 2.66 per 90) and is only second to Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko in the scoring charts. Fernandes registered two assists in this fixture last season, which was one of Amorim’s early games in charge. 

Jack Grealish has been a little quiet in recent weeks after an electric start to life at Everton, with four assists to his name by Matchday 3. He’s still performing to a high level, but is finding himself increasingly crowded out by opponents, that now seem to plan specifically to mitigate the threat of Grealish and Ndiaye on the wings.

Grealish isn’t the most prolific shot taker in the world, with 13 shots across his 10 Premier League appearances this term (1.42 per 90). This is mainly due to his first instinct being to create for his teammates, rather than apply the clinical finish himself. However, he may have to improve his goal output with Everton currently struggling for shot threats.

Everton’s top scorer so far this season is Ndiaye with four goals, no other Everton player has more than two. This is an issue for the Toffees, with neither Thierno Barry nor Beto firing at the moment. Grealish has publicly spoken about wanting to take more shots and score more goals, and his side may need him to in the coming weeks, with Everton being one of the lowest scorers in the division with just 12 goals across their 11 matches.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall was the first player to be suspended this season for an accumulation of yellow cards. He’s quite an aggressive player in the middle of the park for Everton and will have multiple threats to deal with here, which can result in him getting shown a caution.

Dewsbury-Hall has already collected five yellow cards across his 10 Premier League appearances this term. This is the joint most in the Premier League, alongside Lucas Paqueta and Sasa Lukic.
