📂 Everton v Man United Cheat Sheet
📈 Everton v Man United Form & Tactics
Man United were dominant in their last home outing against Spurs, as they were able to capitalise on their opponents receiving a red card in the first-half. Cristian Romero saw red in the 29th minute for a challenge on Casemiro, and Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring for the hosts soon after from a well-worked set-piece.
That result made it four wins on the spin for Man United since Carrick took over, but they were halted in their tracks by West Ham last time out. The Red Devils have had almost two weeks to rue their mistakes from that game, with no FA Cup fixture to contend with, so they should be ready for this match.
Everton also dropped points in their last league game, as Bournemouth completed a comeback at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Iliman Ndiaye opened the scoring from the penalty spot, before the Cherries struck twice in quick succession in the second half. Everton have failed to win any of their last six matches across all competitions at home, which has been a poor streak they will hope to end this weekend.
Still, the Toffees sit in the top half of the Premier League standings, and will hope to consolidate that position.
📔 Everton v Man United Formation & Team News
Jake O’Brien will be suspended for this clash after receiving a straight red against Bournemouth. That means Nathan Patterson is likely to return to the starting eleven at right back.
With Jarrad Branthwaite returning to the first-team picture, Michael Keane looks set to occupy the bench. Further forward, Tyrique George made his first start for Everton last time out, replacing Harrison Armstrong on the left-wing.
Carrick could go for an unchanged eleven from that which drew against West Ham last time out, although Sesko will hope to lead the line. Amad Diallo should feature on the right wing, while either Mbeumo or Matheus Cunha could play on the opposite flank. Kobbie Mainoo has been freed from the bench, and looks set to partner Casemiro in the double pivot, with Luke Shaw and Diogo Dalot as the fullbacks.
Man United have reverted back to a 4-2-3-1 formation, which seems to suit the profiles in their team much better.
