Doku is usually associated with winning fouls but he is just as aggressive off the ball with nine fouls committed across his six starts in the Premier League this season (1.48 per 90). He’s committed a foul in four of his last five Premier League appearances, with two of these games seeing him commit multiple fouls.
His clash with Conor Bradley really stands out to me here. Bradley is priced as low as 1.1 to win a foul in this contest with the fullback winning nine fouls across his six Premier League starts this season (1.80 per 90). Bradley showed how effective he can be in 1v1 duels against Vinicius Jr in the Champions League during the week, a clash which saw him contest 13 duels and win one foul, also drawing a card from Vinicius Jr.
Doku may also have to offer support to Nico O’Reilly here with Salah operating down that side. Salah has seen a recent uptick in the number of fouls he’s winning, the winger was hauled down twice in matches against Aston Villa and Real Madrid, completing at least five dribbles in both matches. Salah has won nine fouls across his 10 Premier League appearances this season (0.91 per 90).
Doku contested 23 duels in this contest last season which are numbers that should have produced a foul. He was up against Trent Alexander-Arnold on that occasion who isn’t nearly as strong as Bradley when it comes to winning fouls, which should prompt Doku to commit at least one infringement in this contest, in line with his recent record so far this term.
There is decent value with this selection with backing with Bet365, the exact same market is priced as low as 1.29 with comparable bookmakers.Â
