Royal Antwerp vs Sint-Truiden
🏟
Tuesday 25th January – 5:45PM KO
The Reds of Antwerp welcome The Canaries of Sint-Truiden to the Bosuilstadion in the north of the country in the first game of the midweek action in the Belgian Pro League. Third-placed Antwerp are attempting to keep up the pressure on Club Brugge in second, who have been unable to keep in touch with first-placed Union St. Gilloise, and with their recent run of form, they may well feel they are best placed to take the fight to the Brussels-based league leaders.
Antwerp have an impressive home record this season, having not failed to score in front of their own fans since the first game at the Bosuilstadion in 2021-22, meaning they have now scored at least once for the last 10 games in a row. In eight of these 10 fixtures they have scored at least twice. With their rivals stumbling somewhat (both Club Brugge and Anderlecht drew at the weekend), they will be hoping to continue their impressive scoring streak here. They have won four of their last five home games and have seven wins in their last nine. No team in the Pro League has a better home record, despite rivals Club Brugge being unbeaten at home so far.
Sint-Truiden by contrast are sitting in 11th place, essentially no-mans land in the division. They are not in good form, having lost all four of their last away games, and losing four of their last five league games overall. In this run of four defeats on the road, they have scored just once, while they have conceded twice or more in all four matches. They do boast two wins in their last seven, but these came against current occupants of the relegation play-off spot Seraing, and 12th-placed Eupen who have only won once since October 3rd.
With no major injuries to contend with, and Antwerp having had an extra day’s rest thanks to their game being on Friday rather than Saturday, I can see only one result in this game, and that is Antwerp continuing their push for the top by taking all three points. At odds of 1.7, this is my top pick for the whole slate of midweek games. There is always the potential for an upset, especially in this league, but I am extremely confident in this selection landing, and it should get our midweek accumulator off to a great start.

Sporting Charleroi vs Kortrijk
🏟
Tuesday 25th January – 8:00PM KO
Our other stop on Tuesday night takes us to the home of The Zebras, Charleroi’s Stade du Pays de Charleroi. I like to look for goals where possible, but this game stood out for the sheer lack of goals we can expect. With such a high-scoring league, there is usually value to be found in under 2.5 goals bets, and that’s exactly what we have here, with the selection sitting absurd odds of 2.1.
Charleroi have played 10 home games this season, and in only four of those has over 2.5 landed. Over 3.5 is even more infrequent, landing just twice all season. They have only found the net twice or more on three occasions, and have failed to hit the back of the net four times in front of their own fans. Just 40% of their last 15 games have seen Both Teams to Score land, so we are likely to see at least one clean sheet.
Kortrijk have similarly struggled for goals on the road, with only 4 of their 12 away games seeing over 2.5 goals land. They have never scored more than twice in any away game this season, whilst never conceding more than twice either. Their last 15 games in the Pro League have seen over 2.5 goals in just 40% of their games seeing three or more goals. Only Beerschot, adrift at the bottom of the table can match this, whilst the league average is 58%.
Both sides will be without key players, with Selemani, their top scorer with 9 goals, and Vandendriessche missing for Kortrijk. Charleroi will be without Herve Koffi in goal, as they have been throughout AFCON, and Jackson Tchatchoua will be missing in midfield.

Zulte Waregem vs OH Leuven
🏟
Wednesday 26th January – 5:45PM KO
Our first Wednesday Pro League fixture however should see plenty of goals. Zulte Waregem may sit sixteenth, and just four points above the relegation play-off spots, but only Cercle Brugge in the bottom half have more goals than their 32, although their 48 goals conceded (second-worst in the division) may help to explain their lowly position a little better. They play host to OH Leuven at the Regenboogstadion in the tea-time fixture which should hopefully provide plenty of goals to set up the last leg of the accumulator.
Waregem have seen over 2.5 goals land in 11 of their last 15, whilst 9 of their 11 home games have seen this mark reached, which is the most in the league by some distance (82%, with the average for the division sitting at 58%). Only 17th-placed Seraing have conceded twice or more as often as Waregem in their last 15 fixtures, occurring in 11 of these games. Both Teams to Score also landed 11 times in these games, which is the highest in the division. Of these last 15 games, Waregem have scored at least once in 13, and conceded at least once in 13.
Leuven are also above average for over 2.5 goal games in their last 15 matches, with this selection landing in 10 out of their previous 15. They have scored at least once in 12 out of 15, and match that for goals conceded, again occurring in 12 of their last 15 games. They have seen over 2.5 come in for seven of 10 away games this season.
Neither side has any major injury concerns ahead of this game, so we can expect both sides to continue as usual, and that should mean plenty of goalmouth action, and hopefully plenty of goals to follow.

Anderlecht vs Cercle Brugge
🏟
Wednesday 26th January – 8:00PM KO
The final game of the accumulator is the evening game at Anderlecht. Their patchy form since the end of the winter break will have Vincent Kompany worried, and he will no doubt hope they can silence the doubters by taking all three points from what could be a real banana skin, a visit from perhaps the most in-form team in the Pro League, Cercle Brugge. Their surge under Dominik Thalhammer has been remarkable, and with only Union SG able to resist them so far, this is by no means an easy fixture for the Purple and Whites, and so Both Teams to Score looks to be on cards in this one.
Anderlecht have seen BTTS land in nine of their 11 home games this season, which is absolutely huge. They have scored in every single game at Lotto Park, but conceding in nine games is comparable with mid-table sides, and this record will no doubt be a real annoyance to a manager who was a world-class defender in his day. With just five clean sheets in 22 fixtures this season, all of which coming against bottom-half teams, it seems unlikely that they will be able to prevent Cercle finding the net at least once here.
Cercle’s great form has seen them take 18 points from 21. They have scored in every away game they have played this season, even those before their upturn in form over the last month or so. They have only 4 clean sheets all season, coming against the two sides in the relegation zone and a woeful Eupen side that look absolutely lost and have done for some time. They have conceded in eight of 11 away fixtures this season, and up against the second-best attack in the division, they are likely to need at least two goals in this game to stand a chance of keeping up their winning run.
Again, neither team faces any major injury or illness concerns, so we can expect business as usual, and that suggests both teams will be able to breach their opponent’s defence at least once over the course of 90 minutes.
