Teze lined up in the middle of the park for Monaco in their 2-2 draw with Manchester City and had two shots, one of which ended up in the back of the net.

Both of his efforts came from outside of the box which is notable seeing as Tottenham could be forced quite deep here - five of the 18 shots they conceded against Bodo Glimt came from outside the box.

Teze has had five shots across his seven appearances in Ligue 1 so far this season (0.77 per 90). He’s continued playing in the defensive midfield role in the last few games, having two shots against Nice and a shot in Monaco’s 1-1 draw with Angers.

Teze had five shots across his 568 minutes of football in Ligue 1 last season (0.79 per 90) so his shot rate has remained pretty consistent over the last year, particularly when he plays in a defensive midfield role which he is expected to here.

Tottenham may find themselves a little low on confidence having given up a 1-0 lead to lose 2-1 to Aston Villa over the weekend which could lead to Monaco being emboldened to take the game to the Lilywhites.

Tottenham conceded 18 shots against Bodo Glimt in their most recent away fixture in the Champions League and could be vulnerable to a high shot count again here.

There is decent value here when backing this selection with PaddyPower, the exact same selection is priced as low as 1.8 with other comparable bookmakers.
