Chelsea have collected more yellow cards than any other side in the Premier League this season (97 - 2.62 per game). This game should produce the perfect environment for cautions, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest both have a chance of qualifying for the Champions League next season making this a straight shootout between the sides on the final day of the season.

Chelsea were shown six yellow cards in the initial meeting between these sides which ended in a 1-1 draw. They committed 12 fouls in the game which is roughly in line with their average across the season as a whole (11.7). This foul average isn’t particularly standout when compared to other Premier League sides which suggests that Chelsea can be quite petulant and stack up bookings as a result of dissent and a lack of maturity in the side as well as their reckless challenges.

The referee for this game is Anthony Taylor who has a long history with Chelsea that will no doubt crop up again here. He’s shown 15 cards to Chelsea across his four appointments in games involving the Blues this season (3.75 per game).

The way Forest play could also end up frustrating Chelsea here, Enzo Maresca’s side have struggled to break down low blocks this season and that’s exactly what Forest have perfected this campaign, the absence of Nicolas Jackson due to suspension should make it even more difficult for Chelsea to find a way through here which is a frustration that could quickly become petulance if the result isn’t going their way.

There is decent value with this selection on PaddyPower, the same market is priced at 1.66 on Bet365.
