💎 Gem Bet: Tetairoa McMillan Over 4.5 Receptions @ 1.67 (Paddy Power)

The Falcons face the Panthers in this NFC South clash on Sunday, and one of this season’s best rookie performers is our Gem pick, following two excellent games to start his NFL career.

Coming into this season, the Panthers knew that they needed to get Bryce Young a stud receiver, which led to them drafting Tet McMillan eighth overall this April’s NFL Draft. He’s yet to score his first touchdown in the league, but despite that, he’s had a fantastic start to his career. 

Through two games, he’s caught 11 of 19 targets and racked up an impressive 168 yards. Despite being new to the team, he now leads the Panthers in receptions, targets, and receiving yards. He’s already the Panthers’ WR1, and his role in this offence will only continue to grow through the next weeks and months.

In the opening week’s defeat to the Jaguars, he caught five passes on nine targets for 68 yards and flashed glimpses of why he excelled at Arizona and why the Panthers moved to draft him.

Then just last week, he had his first 100-yard game in the league and saw his targets and receptions both increase with six catches on 10 passes and managed an impressive 16.7 yards per catch.

We need McMillan to grab five or more receptions here, and given that he’s managed that in both of his games in the NFL and had a minimum of nine targets in every game, it feels like a given that the rookie will have another big Sunday. He’s already developed a real chemistry with Young and is the more talented pass catcher on the offence now, so we know he’ll get volume.
