Pisa Double Chance

Pisa are yet to win a game in Serie A so far this season but have shown some resilience in recent weeks with three draws from their last five matches, including a 2-2 draw against AC Milan last time out at the San Siro. They managed to register an xG of 1.42 on that occasion and it is a result that will fill them with confidence ahead of this encounter.

Lazio have only won one of their four away games so far this season, losing two of those matches. This victory was against Genoa, who currently sit rock bottom of Serie A, having lost five of their eight matches. Lazio have an issue when it comes to scoring goals on the road - they’ve netted 11 goals this season, but only three of those have come on their travels.

Pisa have drawn their last two home matches 0-0, so they can be a really stubborn side to break down, and Lazio are still far from convincing on the road with just one victory. Pisa have already taken points off Fiorentina, Atalanta and AC Milan so far this season, as well as causing Napoli a real scare, so they do have the ability to go toe-to-toe with the more established sides in Serie A.

Over 3.5 Pisa Corners

Pisa are averaging 3.38 corners per game in Serie A across their eight games in the division. This total rises to 4.00 corners per game when looking at their home matches with this marginal increase beneficial for our selection here, when paired with Lazio's tendency to concede corners on the road.

Maurizio Sarri’s side have conceded 22 corners across their four away matches in Serie A this term (5.50 per game) and are likely to come under real pressure from the home side here.

Lazio conceded seven corners in their most recent away assignment in Serie A, which was a 0-0 draw against Atalanta. Pisa can maintain their solid corner record, which has seen them have at least four corners in three of their four home games in Serie A this term - a 75% hit rate for this bet in their top-flight home outings so far.

📈 Pisa v Lazio Form & Stats

It was always going to be an uphill battle for Pisa to survive in Serie A and it's playing out in that fashion. Pisa are one of four sides in Serie A that are yet to register a win this season, drawing four and losing four of their matches so far.

They have had some admirable results so far, taking points off the likes of Atalanta and Milan, but they will need to start picking up wins soon if they want to survive in the Italian top-flight.

Pisa managed to salvage a 2-2 draw against Milan last time out. They should see this as an opportunity to build on that result, with Lazio not looking the most convincing so far on the roa,d having won just one of their four outings so far.

Lazio have been progressing steadily under the tutelage of Maurizio Sarri, who has led the club to four games unbeaten following their disappointing result in the Rome derby, as they lost 1-0 to Roma. The most notable result in this sequence was their 1-0 win over Juventus, which was a result that saw the end of Igor Tudor’s time in charge of the Old Lady.
