Only Kvaratskhelia (8) has scored more goals in the Champions League for PSG than Vitinha this season (6), with five of these goals coming from open play for the midfielder.

Vitinha may line up as a holding midfielder, but the clever rotations that Luis Enrique’s side are able to put together allow him to pop up in the final third - usually in or around the edge of the box. He’s scored these six goals from 38 shots in the Champions League this term, working out to an average of 2.72 shots per 90.

Vitinha has managed at least one shot in four of his last five Champions League appearances, registering 2+ shots in two of these games. He also had six shots against Bayern Munich when these sides met at the Parc Des Princes earlier in the season, with all six of these efforts coming from outside of the box and three of them finding the target.

PSG are expected to have at least 15+ shots in this game if we go by the lines set by the bookmakers, so taking Vitinha for a couple of these efforts at this generous price seems a smart play when you’d be having to test really high lines for any of the forward players here to get value in the shot markets.

This same angle is priced as low as 1.3 with other major bookmakers, suggesting that the 1.80 were getting here is decent value for Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final.
