It’s off to the Caucasus and Eastern Europe for our goals tips ahead of Saturday’s Euro 2024 qualifier action, and this goals double is coming in at 6/4.
First up, Azerbaijan play host to Belgium. The Belgians have faltered slightly, drawing 1-1 with Austria to leave themselves three points from the top of the group, albeit with a game in hand. Azerbaijan meanwhile are joint-bottom of the group alongside Estonia, so nothing less than a win will do for the Red Devils here. In our later game, North Macedonia may have been struggling in these qualifiers, but their famous World Cup play-off victory against Italy must give them some confidence ahead of their tie with the reigning European champions. Italy have not started particularly well and have now also seen manager Roberto Mancini depart for the Saudi Arabian national side. Should England beat Ukraine in the early game, a win could see the Italians climb to second in Group C.

Saturday’s Euro 2024 Qualifying Goals Double Tips
Azerbaijan v Belgium
It was a bitterly disappointing World Cup in Qatar for the Belgians as they failed to make it out of a group in which they were expected to win comfortably, and they will see this Euros qualifying campaign as an opportunity to redeem themselves to their fans.
Their so-called ‘golden generation’ is on the decline as their star players of the past decade come to the end of their careers, opening the door for a new wave of talent to emerge. They have started the current qualifying campaign on a positive note, winning two and drawing the other out of the three games they have played so far. Their opponents on Saturday, Azerbaijan, sit bottom of the group winless, picking up just a single point so far and will be aiming to change their fortunes.
Belgium are often a free scoring side in qualification campaigns, netting seven so far in this campaign and 25 in their eight games while qualifying for the World Cup, which is an average of 3.13 goals per game. That being said, a bet of over 2.5 goals in this game looks a sensible one.
North Macedonia v Italy
The Euro 2020 holders are yet to get on a run in their qualifying campaign, having only played two games, winning one and losing one so far. They were preoccupied with the Nations League tournament during the last international break and ended up finishing third in the competition, beating the Netherlands 3-2 in the third-place play-off.
Genoa striker Mateo Retegui has been a shining light for the Azzurri so far, with the frontman netting two goals in qualifying. Their opponents North Macedonia sit on the same number of points as Italy having played a game more. They famously beat the Italians in the World Cup play-offs and the Azzurri will be on the hunt for revenge.
The Macedonians have shipped 11 goals so far in qualifying and their defence looks very poor, especially when troubled by a strong attack. That being said, the overs goals market is one definitely worth exploring. On Paddy Power, over 2.5 goals sits at a price of 1.73 and is a smart bet in our books.
