AGF v FC Midtjylland
🏟
Sunday 16th October – 1:00PM KO
Sunday it is once again time for the biggest game of Danish football, the derby between Brøndby and FC Copenhagen. The match is known as the New Firm in Denmark, and it will be played without away supporters.
Brøndby enters the match undefeated in their last five fixtures in the Superliga. Although it hasn’t been pretty, head coach Niels Frederiksen is slowly turning things around. The results have improved, and the team is creating more chances. Unfortunately for Brøndby, they remain poor at defending, and they continue to give away goals. Especially at set pieces, the champions from 2021 are horrible. To make things worse defensively for Brøndby, they are without centreback Kevin Tshiembe, who is sidelined with a suspension. He’s been one of the club’s best players this season and will be missed.
FC Copenhagen surprised all of Europe with their 0-0 draw against Manchester City in the Champions League. Copenhagen was helped by a red card and a missed penalty, but the result was incredible, nevertheless. Just like Brøndby, the guests are also climbing up the table. New head coach Jacob Neestrup has raised the morale in the squad, and it is visible. Unfortunately, he has to deal with a bunch of injuries. Copenhagen is without normal starters Andreas Cornelius, Denis Vavro, Carlos Zeca, Rasmus Falk as well as reserves Mamoudou Karamoko, Khouma Babacar, Orri Oskarsson and Akinkunmi Amoo.
We expect a hard-fought game between two teams in form. Neither team are good defensively, so we expect chances in both ends. Odds 1.80 on over 2.5 goals at Betfair is nice value.

Viborg v OB
🏟
Sunday 16th October – 1:00PM KO
Viborg take on OB in a top versus bottom clash Sunday afternoon. Both teams are entering the match in great shape, and we should be in for an even matchup.
Viborg have been fantastic this season and are currently third in the Superliga. They are sitting three points behind FC Nordsjælland and are the big surprise of the season. Last week, they had to settle for a disappointing draw against Lyngby, the worst team in the league, though. Viborg delivered a poor performance, and not getting three points was awful considering they took the lead. Nevertheless, Viborg remain undefeated since the end of August.
OB started the season in terrible shape but have improved lately. They are just one point behind top six and have won 14 points in their last seven matches. Viborg is the only team to beat them during this streak. The team from HC Andersen’s hometown has improved in all parts of the game, and they are suddenly competitive again.
As both teams are in good form, we expect a close match here. The matches between Viborg and OB are usually low scoring with seven out of the last ten games finishing with less than 2.5 goals. We are thus recommending under 2.5 goals at odds 2.10 at Betfair Sportsbook.

FC Nordsjælland v AGF
🏟
Sunday 16th October – 3:00PM KO
Right to Dream Park in Farum hosts a top of the table clash between FC Nordsjælland and AGF. Both teams are in great shape, and both teams have their strengths in the attacking part of the game.
The Tigers from Farum almost suffered a defeat last week away to FC Copenhagen, but in the end, they prevailed and earned a hard-fought draw. As both Randers and Viborg lost, FCN even increased their gap from the first place to the second place to two points, and they are starting to seriously look like a future champion. Nordsjælland haven’t lost to AGF in their last six head-to-head fixtures, and they also won in their previous meeting. Nordsjælland have arguably the best attack in the league, and they are always extra dangerous at home on Astro turf.
AGF aren’t in the best shape anymore. They started the season strongly, but Uwe Rösler’s troops have only collected three points in their previous six matches. They have suffered five defeats during this span, and have left the pitch in three of them without scoring. To make things worse, AGF are without the suspended defender Frederik Tingager as well as Mikael Andersson and Alexander Munksgaard.
Nordsjælland is an excellent team at home at Right to Dream Park, and we expect them to pull away with another win and make AGF’s crisis worse. Odds 2.10 on the home victory at Betfair is way higher than it should be.

Prediction: FCN to Win, 2.10 on Betfair (⭐⭐⭐⭐)
FC Midtjylland v AC Horsens
🏟
Sunday 16th October – 5:00PM KO
The late Sunday match is between two neighboring cities. Herning and Horsens are 80 kilometers apart in the middle of Jutland, and this match should be well attended.
The home team enters this fixture with an impressive 2-2 away against Feyenoord from the Europa League group stage as their previous match. The draw against the Dutch giants was the second in a row for Midtjylland and should provide a confidence boost. Last weekend, FCM won 1-0 against AGF as well, and they are thus on bit of a hot streak going into this match with three victories in their last five Superliga matches.
For Horsens the picture is the opposite. They have lost three of their last five Superliga matches and are coming off a boring 0-0 draw against a terrible AaB side. Horsens is a solid team built around a strong defense. They know their limitations, and they know how to get a result when they need it. Their 3-5-2 formation is difficult to break down, but they don’t have much to offer offensively and are usually falling short when trying to attack.
Midtjylland are firm favourites at home at MCH Arena, and we expect them to follow up on their good results recently and add another three points to the tally. Odds 1.47 at Betfair is definitely acceptable.

Silkeborg v Randers
🏟
Monday 17th October – 6:00PM KO
Monday’s game is another local clash in the middle of Jutland. It takes roughly 45 minutes to drive from Silkeborg to Randers on the highway that connects the two cities, and this match is definitely an interesting one.
The home team are coming off an impressive 5-0 victory away against FCSB in Romania in the Conference League. Silkeborg simply demolished the Romanian giants, and they are now second in the group behind West Ham. The confidence in the squad should be through the roof, and a victory in this match can take them above Randers in the standings.
Randers started the season in great shape and are still one of the top teams in the league, but they have slowed down a bit. Last weekend, they lost at home to a poor Brøndby team, and they have now lost two games in a row. To make things worse, they have conceded ten goals in their last four league games, and head coach Thomas Thomasberg should start to worry.
Silkeborg are strong at home on their Astro turf, and we expect them to make the crisis at Randers even worse. This should be a close game though, so we are slightly cautious with the recommendation. Draw no bet victory for Silkeborg at odds 1.33 at Betfair.
